*Sniff sniff* Hey, do you guys smell something burning? OH CRAP LAST WEEK'S POPCORN IS STILL POPPING! Quick, grab a bucket while I tell you what I got done this week:
- Continued practicing Blender and working on retopology for the head.
- Finished the planning and most of the line art for the next drawing.
- Continued fleshing out the comic characters.
An admittedly short list, but the drawing is coming along nicely (the design of it has been the biggest challenge) and I've been moderately successful with Blender this time around.
What's that? You'd like to know what a 3D model wearing The Mask is doing here? Well, I'm glad you asked Little Timmy! You see, if I can make 3D models, then I can use them as posing models that I can trace to make drawings go a bazillion times faster -- something especially valuable for a comic with consistent characters!
Speaking of the comic, my original plan was to get the first chapter fully sketched up, but uh... I got caught up with the other stuff. :x
Progress on Grape Escape will continue next week. I figured I'd take a break from it after releasing the newest update, and also because I was expecting an onslaught of bugs to fix during the week. Surprisingly I've had no bug reports, and that kinda terrifies me. o_o
Anyhoo, I'm gonna sit down and eat some Taco Bell while I watch you struggle with that bucket. Yes, yes! Let the butter flow through you! >:D I'll see you guys again next week!
PS: If you'd like to keep up with my 3D escapades, I'm journaling my experiences on DeviantArt. You can view part 1 here. I've fallen behind on posting (I'm technically experiencing part 4 right now), so expect part 2 to be written soon! :D
