Hello again, everyone! Here's what I got done this week:

  • Added functionality and made a prototype animation to the wind elemental
  • Made a prototype animation for the fox girl
  • Began setting plans into motion for the 9 CG death scenes

I think the last few months may have caught up to me; I crashed pretty hard this week, bordering on burnout. There's a culmination of different things that are making it increasingly difficult for me to work on Run From Me. I think the best thing I can do right now is just take it very slowly and work on any part of the game that can hold my interest.

Right now, that's the CG death scenes. There's 9 planned, and each of those are going to reflect cosmetic changes to the giantess. That means it will be in my best interest to get the base drawings finished as soon as possible, that way anything I add to the customizer can be immediately added to the CGs as well, and I won't have a tidal wave of art to do at the end of the project.

Currently, I've found several pose and angle references for all 9+ images (some CGs may
possibly have multiple drawings). The next step is to use my 3D model in Blender to combine my favorite poses and angles into a composition that will look good in my style.

Gameplay progress is going to be set on the backburner again as I'm still not fully happy with how it's turned out. I've asked some fellow size game developers to take a look at it and give me feedback, so hopefully that will give me a bit more direction there.

I apologize ahead of time for the slow progress I'll be making for the time being. It's very important to me that I finish this game and that I don't let any of you down. As such, avoiding complete burnout needs to be my top priority.

I'll keep you guys updated on my progress with the CG drawings as well as any progress that I make in other areas. I'll see you guys again next week!
