some sad news c-pops (Patreon)

hey corn pops.

it is with a very heavy heart i let you all know that Palisade has passed away.

Palisade was so much more than just a moderator here and in my discord channel - he was the backbone of this community, a light in the comment section, and my first ever patron - the og corn pop if you will.

it's been a tough day, and those of you in the discord have been sharing stories about your interactions with Palisade and it has made me smile so much. I never met him in person, but he is single handedly the reason why I started this patreon. he talked me through every anxiety i had about starting it, and was there to support me when i finally took the plunge. i went back and checked - i saved that email from when he joined. i posted my buffy pilot part 2 reaction on april 6, 2021 at 4pm and he became a patron at april 6, 2021 4:01 pm.

since then we talked nearly every day - about current shows, possible new shows, funny edits, worries i had about new stuff, really everything and anything. if im being honest, ive felt a little lost today.

i hope that no matter how much or how little you interacted with him here or in discord - that you take care of yourself. the loss of a community member always hurts, especially with someone as special as Palisade. be sad, share stories, whatever you need. xo

when it comes to content - i did manage to finish editing AoS today, so post will be scheduled for tomorrow, but afterwards if the posts are a little late or scattered, i just ask you be patient with me. :)

thank you all so much - each and every one of you make this community so special to me, and losing a member feels like a hole that can't be filled. but i know he would take joy in knowing us corn pops will keep going, keep watching awesome shows, and keep making memories.
