Hello, one and all!

First of all, happy holidays! I decided to run a short update on everything in the Crosshead pipeline and announce the winner of the map-making contest!

Due to a small error in my setting up the poll, it seemed people outside of patron were also able to vote. Now since not everyone was aware of this, it seemed most fair to just filter out all outside votes (something I will make sure is fixed in the next mapmaking contest) and count patron-only votes. In the final tally, it was a very close call, but Tarsiz and IceBreaker did eventually end up on top.

Due to this mishap on my end, I will make sure everyone who participated gets an extra bonus upgrade of content to make it an extra holiday special! Participants know where to contact me!

GARDENS + VIDEO TUTORIAL

The second update is my Garden Pack for our previous winner is almost complete as you can see in the image on top here. It was inspired by a lot of Ghibli stuff, hence the reference image there.

I plan on also doing a video tutorial on how these assets work, because they come with lots of little test designs that might make making maps a lot more interesting. Some basics like alpha layer patterns, mix brushes, multilayer pathways that create height, and lots more. Took me a bit longer to complete, but I should have it finished next week.

GIANTS

Another pack in the works is a GIANT pack with some first assets that focus on some fun DM Giant tools, including minis and dice. This pack will be featured in an adventure I'm working on with some amazing artists. It probably won't be long when you get this pack as well.

TOKENS & ANIMATION

There are currently 20 tokens in the works to be finished in the near future. These include Dragons, Elementals, Giants, and I've also done some bonus Christmas-themed tokens you can find in the attachments for free!

I've also got an additional 12 Animated tokens that will be finished by the end of the month! Including Skeletons and Orcs!

ADVENTURE

The Second adventure magazine is also written, we are currently preparing to do the layout work for this one. What I plan to make it a bit more interactive is to create one-sheets for each adventure that introduce some of the story, including an item, a creature, and a map with some help how you could play it without the book. These one-sheets were the start of all that so I'd love to get back into them.

MORE ARTISTS!

I've been on the lookout to get back into two things for my adventures and the content we offer here at Crosshead. One is magic items, starting next month there is a good chance that a veteran D&D Artist will join forces with me to create a series of magic items. I won't go into details just yet because we are sitting together to try out some things to see if it's a match, but it works out that means the return of my Mysterious Wonderwares! These will be used in adventures but also just be available for all patrons!

Isometric is also on schedule to start back next month. I've got a fantastic artist who has also had her share of doing D&D content, who will try to help me revive the isometric village assets so we can finally put the tools in your hands to create villages, cities, or even entire region maps with cool art that matches the rest of the art we have on offer here!

Thanks for all of your support! I've been having so much fun exploring all the concepts I had always wanted to bring to this Patreon, now finally being able to get more folks involved I might actually manage to do what was once impossible for me to do on my own!

Kind Regards,

Bert - Crosshead

Hello Bert - any updates on these?

Crosshead

Hello! Yes I'm finishing up a large part of these aws. Holidays were a bit more busy than expected so finally back in full form with the kids back in school. It also was a lot of experimentation with this pack which I will talk about in a tutorial that comes with the art!
