Why did I get nervous when you played CeeCee Wendy singing Whitney? But I loved the analysis though regarding Wendy emoting. I always felt that was the one thing that was always lacking in a lot of Kpop songs. You have these young men and women singing these songs sometimes involving love and relationships yet many of them have yet to experience it. But that’s for another discussion. Great vid! Thanks!

Very good choices indeed!!! When this rain stops slapss and we know we love Seulgi!! On a side note, are you doing the Day6 killing voice? I know you don’t really care for their music 🥲 but they’re playing instruments live so Id like for you to see that. I don’t think I’ve seen anybody else do that.

I never heard someone say Seulgi is not a strong dancer… but in reality I feel like it is SM who doesn’t challenge her with her choreo… 28 reasons was still a soft choreo for her but it went with the song… unfortunately, in order to see her dance, you would have to look at the random practice videos she puts up on her insta which is normally upload by a fan on YouTube.

I didn't realize people considered anyone from Red Velvet to be a strong dancer... sry everyone!! (I don't think I would say strong) and I say that as a fan of them. Yes, that's also bc of the choreography, and I also suspect it's bc of the way some female kpop artists are taught and told to perform, (particularly 2nd and 3rd gen). ..I think she carries a lot of tension in her shoulders, and I wish her energy carried through to her arms. But this is just my opinion based on more official performances I've seen her + red velvet, so I'll admit that prob haven't seen the good stuff

in regards to the "live videos," i've seen behind the scenes footage of performances like this but obv i can't speak for all. i know they do at least two to three live performances so the audio can get picked up and edited in post-production so it's not as harsh sounding then after that, they start with the lip syncing beauty shots. ngl it does kinda ruin the vibe for me bc it is live for the most part, but it's just the live imperfections in vocals are smoothed out/overly reverbed and the beauty shots are so obvious bc it just makes the singer look like they're not even trying to sing unless they mix in some actual shots of them singing live.

I love CeeCee's vibe and critique, need more videos with her!! ❤️ I agree with her assessment of Wendy's performances and at this point, it is what it is. I'm curious to see her singing in 10 years, that had never crossed my mind before but after your commentary it did lol About Seulgi's dancing, it's really bizarre how there's no high quality, official footage of her, essentially, going off LOL which we know she can do !!! I'll blame SM for that. Maybe you could show her pre-debut Be Natural with Irene? Or Drip Drop live in Tokyo(maybe I am using this as an excuse for a Taemin reaction video 👀 can you blame me? Lol) There's also Hot n Cold dance practice video which would be a nice one to check out with CeeCee regardless I think. Aside from that all we have are random samples of her dancing and the fancams. The dance practices she posts on Instagram are 🔥 you could check out a compilation of those but idk. All I know is Seulgi is an incredible dancer, I love her style. I saw someone here say she carries tension on her shoulder, I see that in another way: I always say her shoulders seem to have a life of their own LOL it's always highlighting the beat, doesn't matter what song she's performing and I think it looks really cool. Anyway, sorry for the long comment and thanks for another fun video!

Yeah I agree in regards to Wendy's I Have Nothing - I don't know if it's part of her technique but she almost looks like she's smiling throughout and it kind of takes you out of it a bit if that makes sense. We all know she can sing, but it would have been nice for her to dig a bit deeper!
