Holly hadn't expected the emotions that washed over her as soon as she saw Holly - the real Holly - in person for the first time in ten years. Instantly, all the memories of the last time they'd been together came flooding back, overwhelming her as she stood there, gawking, glad that she was frozen in shock, or else she'd definitely have started to suck her thumb.

She became so much more aware of the now cool, mushy mass in the seat of her pants, that feeling that had become almost second nature seeming new again as she wriggled her backside, feeling it shift and squelch, her nose wrinkling. That girl - that woman, really, looking more mature and grown-up than ever - was the reason she was here, the reason she'd been like this for this whole time... Why had Holly thought it would be a good idea to face her?!

"S-Sorry," Holly stammered, knowing that she ought to be the one to back down. "I-I just got excited, because I know I'm next."

"Then sit down!" the other Holly called from across the room, earning a few chuckles. "Let's do this properly!"

Did she know?! Holly whimpered, her hands unfreezing to yank down even harder on her skirt. Had the realHolly been able to tell, from so far away, that she was in a pair of poopy Pampers?!

This whole thing had been ridiculous, Holly told herself, her head spinning as she did as she was told, like the good little girl she was, swallowing a squeak as her bottom sank into her waiting mess, as if she hadn't spent a good chunk of the car ride here in it, as if the first Holly, the person who had stolen her life and let her be 'adopted' by Mommy, had just now forced her to fill her pants, then shoved her down to make her fall onto her lumpy rear.

She was no match for that Holly... She hadn't been, back in the day, and nothing had changed now; if anything, she was less prepared now, despite knowing what she was dealing with. She should have ignored the e-mail, and stayed home with her babysitter...

It had been a fluke that she'd gotten the message on time in the first place. Mommy didn't want her to be totally cut off from her old life, so she did let her check her old e-mail address once every couple of weeks, though only under constant supervision. Mommy had final say over what she wrote back, and if, somehow, Mommy got distracted by something else, and Holly managed to sneak out an e-mail without her seeing, she still always knew... If she checked the Sent folder and found something in there she hadn't approved... Well, it didn't end well for Holly.

So the fact that it had arrived the day Mommy had let her do that, which gave her time to convince the woman to let her do it, and answer back to the director? It had seemed like a sign... Now that she was here, it felt more like it had been a taunt, a reminder of her old life, and how she could never really return to it... But she hadn't been clever enough to see it for what it was in time.

"I actually go by my middle name, Elizabeth," Holly announced. "But if you're used to calling me Holly, that's fine!"

"Wonderful!" the director said. "And now, Laura Jenkins?" She smiled, turning to look at Holly.

Bashfully, she hopped back off her seat and gave a quick wave, nibbling her bottom lip when she thought about sitting down again so soon, and what that would mean... Of course, the alternative wasn't any better, standing in front of everyone, constantly terrified she'd flash the swollen rear of her onesie...

And... Well, she had something to say, too, didn't she? She could practically feel Elizabeth's gaze on her as she stood there, shifting back and forth uncomfortably. Did she want to do it? Did she want to admit that, in front of everyone? In front of Elizabeth, who had been there when Mommy had re-named her? It was what she was used to being called now, and even hearing her old name out loud had felt weird, somehow... Wrong, although that was a scary thought, since she knew, deep down, that wasn't the case whatsoever.

"I-I..." It wasn't accurate to say that she had changed her name - it hadn't been her decision by any stretch of the imagination. "I-I go by," she said instead, the most diplomatic way she could think to put it, "Holly now."

"I see," the director raised an eyebrow. "I can see why you got up before, then. I'm sure it's an interesting story, why you decided to go with that name... I'm afraid we don't have time for that now. It might be a bit confusing, but the two of you are supposed to be twins anyway, so I'm sure you'll understand if we get a little mixed up now and then."

Holly nodded, sank into her chair once more, reluctantly, getting another reminder of why this had been a terrible idea, why she should have taken Mommy's initial advice upon seeing the e-mail, and said no.

"Why don't the two of you sit together?" the director asked. "That will make it easier when we do our little run-through."

Without thinking about where she was, Holly let out a tiny whine, crossing her arms and pouting, the bemused reactions she heard all around her, including from the director, telling her that they recognized the action from their own younger siblings, or children. It was so hard to remember that she could - should, in fact - act like an adult here, after so long trapped behaving like a toddler, whether she wanted to or not...

"Fine," Elizabeth shrugged, getting up. "I'll move down there, then, I guess."

Holly sank into her chair, both at the sound of more friendly laughter at what the rest of the cast likely thought was harmless banter, and at the concept of Elizabeth coming down here, being right next to her... Her heart thumped louder and louder as the girl - the woman now, honestly - flounced down the steps, strutting over to her.

"Nice to see you again," she smirked, sitting down. "It's been a while, hasn't it?"

"Y-You could say that," Holly replied. She blushed, watching as Elizabeth's nose crinkled, as the woman's face tilted down towards her with a wry grin. If she hadn't known about the state of Holly's diaper before, she definitely did now...

Holly squirmed anxiously, a part of her not wanting to look at the person in the seat beside her, the other unable to resist stealing glances, staring at the adult Elizabeth had grown into. Holly had always been one, technically, since Holly had met her, but there was a big difference between an eighteen year old and a twenty-eight year old...

And there was a giant difference between Elizabeth and Holly, one that Holly had to assume was making it difficult for their co-stars who had been around during the original show to recall which of the two had been the older one. Elizabeth was wearing a normal pair of jeans and a plain, white v-neck top, nothing special whatsoever, yet the way it clung to her body, showing off a definitive lack of padding under the former, while the latter was tight enough, and low enough, to show off what little breasts she had.

It did make Holly feel a bit better, seeing that those hadn't gotten much bigger since the last time she'd seen the girl. Obviously, it didn't bother Elizabeth, though, as she wasn't making any effort to disguise their size... And Holly didn't have much room to talk in that department. Between the onesie and her jumper, she looked perfectly flat-chested, not to mention incredibly childish, even if nobody heard the rustle of her diapers, spotted their bulk, smelled her accident...

What was on their feet was very different, too, Elizabeth wearing a pair of heels, not unlike the ones Laura had always worn, before her time with Nanny, Holly in a pair of pink sneakers, fastened with Velcro, that lit up when she walked. It was hard to say if they were better or worse than the Mary Janes Mommy usually put her in, with all their ribbons and bows... Neither option would have stood up to Elizabeth's shoes, however, nor could Holly's fresh, scrubbed-clean face look as well put together as Elizabeth and her makeup.

Holly flinched, another dribble of urine squirting into her pants, as she felt something brush against her lap. "Sorry!" the director exclaimed. "You were spacing out for a second there... I just wanted to give you the music for your part."

"R-Right," Holly nodded, looking down at the pages that had been set on her legs. "S-Sorry."

The director gave her a smile, before glancing up at everyone else. "Now, like I said, we have a lot of work to do... This is just a read/sing-through, so I don't expect it to be perfect... If any of you want to go work privately while everyone else does their scenes, or songs, you're more than welcome to do that in the lobby, or the dressing rooms, or wherever you'd like... But be sure to keep an ear open for what's going on out here! I want this to go as smoothly as possible, so I'd rather not have to stop and go looking for people when it's their turn!"

Holly's eyes followed the woman as she handed things out to the rest of the cast; Elizabeth, instead, examined their bit of the script. "We're not on until the second act," she said, chatting casually, like there was nothing strange about the relationship between her and Holly, as if she hadn't betrayed her completely the last time they'd been together. "Do you want to go practice? We never even did this for real, so it's probably a good idea, right?"

"Wh-What?" Holly gulped. She did, in fact, have things that she wanted to talk to Elizabeth about, and she knew she'd never have the courage to say them while they were in the same room with anybody else, much less all these other people... But that didn't mean she was prepared to do it right now, when she was still getting used to being around her again... And when she was in a dirty diaper. "I-I thought maybe..."

"Great!" Elizabeth grabbed her by the hand, hauling her to her feet as she stood. They were still around the same size, Elizabeth only a few inches taller, but she'd taken Holly by surprise... And Holly was used to letting herself be led by the hand wherever her caretaker wanted her to go, the thought of resisting not even entering her mind until they were backstage, almost to the dressing room.

Elizabeth shoved Holly into the room, switching on the light and closing the door behind them, Holly fidgeting nervously when she saw the woman click in the lock, before kneeling down, as if she were so much taller that she needed to do that to get a better look at her companion. "Look at you!" she cooed. "You look just how I remember you! Right down to this!"

Gleefully, she spun Holly around, giving the seat of her diaper a playful swat, then, when she heard Holly's embarrassed reaction, squeezing it instead, rubbing it, spreading the muck inside further, while Holly stood there helplessly, knowing better than to defend herself. She might be the one wearing them, but she'd learned long ago that her diapers were, in fact, not hers... They belonged to her Mommy, or whoever else was put in charge of her... They got to decide how they were touched, if and when they were changed, everything about them other than when they were used, and even that, they had more control over than Holly, thanks to enemas, and diuretics, and suppositories, and any number of other tricks of the trade they might want to employ.

Finally, she tired of that, turning Holly back around, smiling down at the red-faced little girl in front of her, opening her mouth to mock her further, no doubt.... When Holly pulled her hand back and slapped her across the face as hard as she could.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

She tried, at any rate, which was more than enough to surprise Elizabeth. The woman was slow, and clumsy, and Elizabeth had no trouble whatsoever catching her hand before it could reach her, stopping it mid-swing, but the attempt itself had been unexpected.

"My mistake," she admitted. "I don't think the old Holly had that in her... Maybe if she had, she wouldn't have ended up like this."

She couldn't help herself... There definitely was a part of her that felt guilty for everything that happened, but after all this time being a semi-professional brat, it was hard to turn it off, hard to stop from teasing any poor loser she found in a messy diaper, especially if she was the one who had landed them in it. If Holly's padding hadn't been wrapped up snugly in a onesie, Elizabeth wouldn't have been surprised if she'd found herself giving the girl a wedgie... As it was, she settled for another pat, butterflies fluttering through her stomach at the sensation of mush squishing beneath her fingers, and the sight of discomfort in her victim's eyes.

"That's not my fault!" Holly pouted, stomping her foot, Elizabeth struggling, and failing, to stifle a giggle when she saw Holly's shoes light up, turning her anger into another show of her childishness. Of course, getting laughed at didn't improve her mood any, and she stamped her foot again, amusing Elizabeth all the more.

"I'm sorry," Elizabeth shook her head, doing her best to act like it.

"No, you're not," Holly huffed.

Elizabeth couldn't blame her, really... "I am," she swallowed, trying again to look serious, and stone-faced, despite the adorable big baby in front of her, in her sweet little outfit, and big, stinky diapers, that her instincts wanted nothing more than to bully and mock. "I'm serious, Laur... Holly. I agreed to do this show so I could tell you that."

"Well, you're not acting like it," Holly pointed out.

"I know!" Elizabeth told her. "It's just... If you could see how you look!"

"I'm aware of how I look," Holly glowered at her. "I look like a ridiculous, overgrown toddler, and it's all because of you!" She jabbed her finger at Elizabeth. "If you were really sorry, you'd tell Mommy to take you home instead!"

That was, Elizabeth had to admit, probably true... But, as much as she wanted to make some form of amends to the girl, there was no way she was going to do that. She knew too much about the Nannies, and how they operated, to subject herself to that full-time. "I'm pretty sure she'd be able to tell the difference," she said. "I mean, even back then, we didn't really fool her for long... And you've been living with her now for..."

"Yeah," Holly scowled, "for ten years. Believe me, I know."

Ten years... It hadn't hit her until she'd walked into the theater how long that truly had been, as she considered how much things had changed for her since the last time she'd been in the building. And, for Holly... Well, after her initial adventures with Nanny, nothing at all had changed for her in that time. She'd been stuck just as Elizabeth had left her... And she was right that it was, indeed, Elizabeth's fault. Elizabeth had called Nanny, had arranged the whole thing, had gotten cold feet about it and made Laura take her place...

Now, there was barely a trace of Laura left. She'd voluntarily told the rest of the cast to call her Holly, had shown up in this incredibly childish outfit, and a messy diaper... There was no doubt that she was still completely and totally under her Mommy's thumb.

"You don't think," Elizabeth suggested gently, "that maybe this was for the best? You haven't had to worry about a job, or paying rent, or anything since then... And... Well, it's been a long time, and you haven't gotten away... How long has it been since you've even tried?" From the shade of red that Holly turned, it was obvious that it had been a very long time... If she'd ever gotten up the courage to do it in the first place.

"It's not as simple as that," she sulked.

"If you say so," Elizabeth shrugged, but, in all honesty, this was all just making her feel better, both about her decision to go this show, and what she'd done ten years ago. Holly could pout and whine about it all she wanted... If she hadn't even made any effort to escape from her fate, then she must have realized that Nanny was right, and, deep down, this had been what she'd wanted all along...

"I do," Holly told her. "There's a reason I agreed to do this show, too, you know."

"Oh?" That made sense, but, somehow, Elizabeth hadn't considered it... She'd been too busy with her own motives to recognize that Holly might have some, too. "And what is that?"

"There's something else that's having a ten year anniversary," Holly said. "Something else that meant a lot to me, that you absolutely ruined for me..."

Elizabeth felt guilty about how long it took her to think of it, how many seconds she stared at the girl in front of her, perplexed, before she recalled, "The mall!"

Of course! Laura had been in charge of renovating the mall, reinvigorating it... She'd been so proud of her work... And Elizabeth had swooped in and stolen her identity before the grand opening, leaving her to attend as just another shopper, one who hadn't had a very fun time, even before she'd run into her old boss...

"Yeah," Holly crossed her arms. "The mall. I saw a commercial, and they're throwing a big event for it... And I want to go."

"Okay," Elizabeth wasn't sure where this was going. "Do you want me to talk to Nanny for you? Oh, do you want me to take you?" That didn't seem likely, but perhaps Holly thought that would be less humiliating than being taken there by her Mommy, who had given her a spanking at the grand re-opening, right in front of her former boss... "I guess I could..."

"No," Holly shook her head. "I want to go on my own, as a big gi... As an adult."

Elizabeth looked her up and down. "No offense, but I'm not sure that's going to work," she observed.

"Not if I'm like this, no," Holly agreed. "If I had a little time to prepare, though, I could get used to being a grown-up again."

"And how is that going to happen?" Elizabeth asked. "I haven't talked to her in a while, but I don't think Nanny will..."

Holly's eyes twinkled. "Mommy isn't home right now," she said. "I have a babysitter... A babysitter who hasn't met me yet... And I have someone who claims to be so very sorry for what she did to me, and who seems to think that it would be so simple to just get away from my... situation..."

"Wait," Elizabeth frowned. "What exactly are you proposing? Do you want us to... switch places? Again?"

"Wow," Holly somehow managed to look far smugger than Elizabeth would have imagined anyone dressed in her current outfit, and with the current state of her diaper, being able to pull off. "You're smarter than you look... twin."
