Mommy smiled softly as she watched her baby toddle over to the bookshelf, ruffles on the seat of her plastic pants rustling softly as she moved. "Where are you going, sweetie?" she asked with a chuckle.

"Umm..." the young woman turned back, an almost dazed, empty look in her eyes, so different from the defiant glare she'd been giving her Mommy only a few days ago.

"You're ready to trick or treat, aren't you?" Mommy bent down. "You remember what trick or treating is, don't you?"

The girl sucked on her thumb, the gears in her mind slowly, laboriously, turning. "Umm... Candy?"

"Very good!" Mommy grinned, giving her a big hug, unable to resist patting the baby's diaper. It was no surprise to find the padding soggy already, despite Mommy having just changed her, getting her ready to go out. If she had any memory of how to control her bladder, she'd shown no will to use it for quite a while now, relatively speaking, considering how short a time she'd been in Mommy's clutches. "That's right! And you are going to get so much of it, as adorable as you are..."

"Yay!" she bounced in place, clapping her hands.

"Now," Mommy brushed a strand of hair out of the girl's face, "you do know you aren't going to be allowed all your candy right away, right? I don't want to see any tantrums about that, or you're getting a time-out, do you understand?"

The girl pouted, but she nodded her head. "Yes, Mommy," she mumbled.

"Don't look so sad!" Mommy reached out, giving the baby's exposed tummy a tickle, the shirt she was in stopping short of her belly button, much less the waistband of her diaper, which was no doubt getting soggier now. Mommy's smile widened as she looked down at the shirt, at the mockery she'd made of the young woman... "Do you remember what you are?" she asked, finger moving upwards, tracing the girl's emblem, emblazoned on the front of her shirt, surrounded by enough pink and lace to take away any power it might once have had.

The question could have been taken in more than one way, but if the girl was even aware of that, she showed no signs of it. She stared down at the shirt, having no choice other than to see the diaper bulging beneath it, too. "I'm a... a superhero!" she declared proudly.

"You sure are!" Mommy beamed. "What kind of superhero are you?" The girl looked up at her blankly. "What kind of superpowers do you have, sweetie?" she clarified.

"Umm, I can..." the girl thought about it, but she couldn't so much as name any possibilities.

"Can you use your diapers at the speed of sound?" Mommy teased, launching into another tickle, the girl squealing in response. "Are you so cute nobody can resist you?"

"Y-Yes, Mommy!" the girl giggled. "Those are my powers!"

"Such a fearsome superhero," Mommy winked. "Remind me not to get on your bad side."

The girl gazed up at her, wide-eyed. "You'd never do that, Mommy," she said.

"Well," Mommy kissed her on the forehead, "we'll see."

She thought nothing about the phone ringing, even though she knew it was just a toy. Why wouldn't it? In her imagination, all of her other toys were alive, too, and loved to play with her, so it might as well join in on the fun.

She just hoped it wasn't her Mommy... She'd left her here, playing on the floor of her office, while she went to take care of other things. She knew that she was supposed to stay on the floor, that big babies like her, who needed their diapers, weren't supposed to sit on the furniture... But she hadn't been able to resist climbing up onto the couch, rolling around on it with her teddy bear, pretending to be a big girl.

"Hello?" she said cautiously, holding the phone up to her ear.

"It is her!" the voice on the other end of the line sounded familiar, but when she tried to place it, her brain got all fuzzy and weird, and it made her tummy feel bad, so she shook her head, almost hanging up. "Are you okay?"

"No," she answered truthfully. "Bye-bye."

"No!" the voice exclaimed. "You have no idea how hard it was to make this connection between dimensions like this! I don't know if I'll be able to do it again!"

"Dim..." she was intrigued by the big word, enough to stop from dropping the phone. "What's that?"

She heard a sigh. "This is not good... I was hoping I'd seen it wrong, but..."

"Who are you?" she asked.

The voice sounded surprised. "It's Zatanna... Who do you think you are?"

The girl hadn't thought about that for a while; she was satisfied knowing that she was Mommy's little baby. She wriggled on her back, frowning, propping her bootied feet up on the back of the couch. "Uh..."

Zatanna said a few words that she didn't recognize, that sounded strange, almost making her giggle, and then it all came rushing back to her. The visitor from another dimension, how she'd gone to investigate, only to be pulled back through the portal, subjected to the crazy woman's hypnosis... She gasped, wrinkling her nose as she felt the damp padding beneath her, realizing what she'd been turned into, in a matter of hours.

"Zatanna," she whispered, eyes darting towards the door of Mommy's office, terrified at the thought of seeing her again, of being caught misbehaving. "You have to get me out of here!"

"I will," Zatanna promised. "I mean... I'll do my best. I don't know where you are, exactly. The dimension you're in is... tricky... I'm going to do everything in my power, though, I promise. It would really help if you could get out of there, to anywhere else..."

"Well, how am I supposed to do that?!" she blushed, looking down at herself and the infantile outfit she'd been dressed up in.

"The woman who captured you obviously can move in and out of that dimension," Zatanna reminded her. "If you could somehow hitch a ride, I might be able to come get you."

"How do...?" she started to ask, but, finally, the door did open. Anxiously, she dropped the phone, rolling off the couch, smiling innocently up at Mommy, wrinkling her nose as she felt her bladder nervously dribble into her diaper. "H-Hi, Mommy," she struggled to sound normal, like nothing was out of the ordinary. "Y-You're back..."

"I am," Mommy raised an eyebrow, staring down at her in a way that made the girl feel scared, despite how powerful she now knew she was. "I hope you weren't doing anything naughty while I was away..."

"No, Mommy," she shook her head. "Of course not..."

She bristled as she felt Mommy's lips on her forehead, wanting so badly to punch her, to do anything, but she knew she had to keep playing along, at least for a little longer. She didn't really have a choice... Whatever Mommy had done to her had gone beyond simple hypnosis, as powerful as that was - she could still feel it creeping in now and then - and left her as helpless as a newborn kitten.

It had almost been worse after hearing from Zatanna, knowing who she actually was, but having to pretend she was still under Mommy's spell. She was so weak, she couldn't break open the bars of the crib she'd been sleeping in, which she normally could have done with her pinkie, or even climb over them... And flying was definitely out of the question.

Part of her wondered if Mommy knew, if she'd figured out that her captive was aware of her true identity, when she'd announced that they were going trick or treating, especially when she'd brought out the 'costume'. It had been all she could do to stop from stomping her feet and throwing a tantrum, refusing to put the shirt on... But that wouldn't have done her any good.

Every time she'd glanced down and seen the shirt, and her emblem, right above the bulky diaper, it was like a stab to the heart, or at the very least, her dignity. She was Supergirl, as her outfit clearly stated... She should have no trouble dealing with this 'Mommy', or any other bad guy, yet here she was, trapped being a sweet, obedient little toddler...

Whenever she had a spare moment, she'd grab the toy phone Zatanna had contacted her on, desperately praying that she'd hear from her again. She didn't know how that might happen... She pushed buttons, but she knew it had just been a conduit for Zatanna's powers, that dialing wasn't going to make a difference. All she could do was hope that, somehow, Zatanna knew that she was trying to reach her.

And, thankfully, right before Mommy had come in to check on her this time, as she jabbed at random numbers on the phone, a voice came from it. "Supergirl?"

"Zatanna!" she hissed. "Thank God... Listen, I don't know if it's another dimension, but Mo... the woman who captured me said she was taking me somewhere 'special' tonight..."

"That's good," Zatanna told her. "I'll keep an eye on the other dimensions, but... There are a lot of them, to say the least. If you can get away from her, and stay put, I'll find you eventually. It just might take some time."

"I-I'll do what I can," Kara promised.

"The longer you stay out of the dimension you're in now, the better," Zatanna said. "Good luck."

Of course, the best way for her to ensure Mommy trusted her enough to let her stay out later - and potentially took her eyes off of her for a few seconds, to give her a chance to run away - was to show that there was no reason to worry about her, to show her that she was just as mindlessly babyish as she had been since she'd been caught, no matter how humiliating it was to put on such a display of immaturity.

She had wanted to grab the phone, to bring it with her, but now that Mommy was right there in front of her, that seemed too risky. She could play off her trip across the room as her being restless; instead, she grabbed a doll. "Can I take her, Mommy?"

"Of course, sweetie," Mommy smiled. "Are you afraid you're going to get bored?"

"No," Supergirl shook her head. "But I'm a superhero, and superheroes save people, so I'm gonna save her!"

"So clever," Mommy chuckled. "That's a good idea, sweetie... You save her. Who's going to save your diaper, though?"

"Huh?" Kara really was confused, no acting needed, looking down at her diaper. What was she talking about?

"I just changed you, and you're almost ready to leak," Mommy chided. "Come on... We'd better get you in a fresh diaper before we go."

Kara was glad she was pretending to be oblivious, because she genuinely hadn't realized how soggy her pants had gotten. Maybe there was a bit of hypnosis that had stuck around after whatever Zatanna had done, she thought to herself, blushing as Mommy wiped her clean.

"We're not going to use the stroller," Mommy warned, "so if you start getting tired, we're coming right home. That's why I wanted you to take an extra long nap today."

"Yes, Mommy," Kara nodded. That was good... It might be more difficult to run away if she had to get out of the stroller.

Mommy took a device out of her coat pocket, pressing a few buttons until a glowing, pink portal appeared. "Hold on tight," she ordered, taking Supergirl's hand. "We don't want to get separated."

Supergirl toddled through the portal, out into the brisk, fall air. It was a beautiful night, and she could feel a smile forming on her face at the sound of little kids running around, trick or treating. It all felt very familiar, but she knew there were a lot of dimensions, and plenty of them were bound to have the same traditions as her own.

Instinctively, as Mommy led her out onto the sidewalk, Kara felt herself sidle in closer to the woman, feeling the eyes of everyone around her turn towards her, certain that most of the parents, or older siblings, were snickering at her. The kids, at least, were too preoccupied with their candy; everyone else found her predicament funny.

"I'm not going anywhere," Mommy chuckled. "Don't worry..." She gave Kara's hand a squeeze.

If walking through the crowd had been tough, dressed this way, it was nothing compared to being marched up to the first door, instructed to ring the doorbell, knowing that whoever answered was going to see her, one on one... But she knew she had to do it to keep up the charade. "Oh," the woman who opened the door said. "Aren't you cute? You're Supergirl?"

Kara froze for a moment; did this woman recognize her?! There were a lot of dimensions where versions of her existed, so she couldn't possibly realize it was really her... Right? In this one, Supergirl had probably spent the day saving a schoolbus full of kids or something. "Yes, she is," Mommy spoke up, taking Kara's silence for shyness. "Doesn't she look good? Turn around, sweetie, show her the whole thing." Obediently, Kara spun, feeling the ruffles on her diaper cover flutter. "We had to make a few... adaptations, thanks to her little problem," Mommy patted Kara's backside, "but I think it only improved the outfit."

"I think you're right," the woman smiled, holding out her candy bowl. "She hasn't heard about the real Supergirl, has she?" she quietly asked Mommy as Kara dug through the bowl. "I hope she turns up soon..."

"Me, too," Mommy grinned. "I'm sure she's around here someplace..."

Kara bit down hard on her bottom lip to silence her gasp. Of course... Mommy had brought her back to her own dimension... Where else would she have taken her, to really rub in her victory? For a second, she was excited, thinking that this meant she'd be getting rescued in no time... If Zatanna was concentrating on other dimensions, however, would she notice Supergirl had reappeared in her own?

After making her say thank you, Mommy pulled Kara away from the first house, then stopped short of the next one. "You know, sweetie," she said, kneeling down, "I should have done this before we left, but I forgot... You haven't gone poopy for a while now... Are you feeling okay?" She rubbed Kara's bare stomach. Kara squirmed, nodded. She might have been wetting herself on accident; there was no way she was going to let that happen when she knew she might be on the verge of rescue. "I think you'd feel better if you did... Go on..."

Kara whimpered, fidgeting in place, praying that Zatanna would appear and save her from this... But she was nowhere to be seen. She knew she had to be a good girl, to do as she was told, or Mommy would get suspicious, and might take them back to her own dimension right away... So, right in the middle of the sidewalk, Supergirl squatted down, grunting, face red, her diaper swelling behind her... Every push, and resulting rush of mush bringing back a bit more of the fuzz to her brain.

She recognized what was happening, though, by then, it was too late, her body taking over, preventing her from putting a stop to it, no matter how hard she tried. "Good girl," Mommy patted her on the head, taking her by the hand and leading her to the next house, showing off her prize some more, Supergirl lost in her hypnosis once again, happy to do whatever Mommy wanted.

It was a few days later when she had another moment of clarity. Mommy was drawing up a bath for her, and she'd toddled off... And found her stash of Halloween candy in Mommy's room. She was up on her bed, gobbling it down, when she felt a nagging feeling at the back of her mind. She squirmed, confused, staring down at the candy...

She was supposed to run away! She had totally forgotten about that! She'd gotten so caught up with her trick or treating, she hadn't even tried... She fidgeted, hating that she'd messed up so badly... And what she remembered herself doing, parading from house to house, showing off her dirty diapers, dressed in a shirt that invited everyone to compare her to Supergirl in their minds, and maybe, when Supergirl didn't show back up, wonder if perhaps, as insane as it sounded, that might have been who they'd seen on Halloween...

And now she was back in Mommy's dimension, back to being Mommy's little baby, without making the slightest effort towards getting herself rescued. Hopefully, Zatanna would try again, but she hadn't heard the phone ring... And, as difficult as Zatanna had said it was to get through...

"What are you doing in here?" Mommy demanded. Supergirl turned in fear, gasping as she felt her diaper begin to expand beneath her in fright at being caught, realizing she was filling her pants once more, just as helpless as ever, even with a flash of her old life managing to break through the hypnosis. If Zatanna was able to find her, would she ever be able to escape what Mommy had done to her, or would she be like this forever?! Or... Would it matter in the first place? Would Mommy simply capture Zatanna, too, and add her to her nursery? If Supergirl couldn't stand up to the woman, she had a bad feeling her friend wouldn't, either...

"N-Nothing, Mommy," she shook her head, but, of course, there was no fooling Mommy, so she found herself being put in the time-out stool, sitting in her messy diaper for what felt like an eternity as she squirmed, nose wrinkled, to 'think about what she'd done'... Which, really, meant thinking about how completely trapped she was, and how little chance she had of getting out of here, much less out of diapers.
