It all starts here, the birthplace of the Skiffyverse (even though it won't be that for a few years yet). Arky was my space pirate character from the early 90s. She started out as a one page comic. I keep coming back to her for projects but she didn't get to appear in anything published until Mech Skin Enceladus - but that's a different version of her. She also stars in her spin-off Mars 2161.

Bonus fact: The one-page comic is the first time I went by Space Captain Steve.

I really wanted to do my take on Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space. Helen was one four women lost in space in their little day-shuttle when their cruise liner is attacked by pirates... or something like that. Some Skiffyverse stuff is beginning to ferment in this one.

About the same time as I was making up all these cool sci-fi bits for Venus I came up with a space bounty Hunter called Sheba. Hmm, purple and yellow costume, sword... you can see what's happening here can't you? Also it shared the same universe as Venus. She also had this little robot sidekick called Martini.

Crazy Metal was a game prototype where you have a player run around a 3D track and shoot as many robots as stylishly as you could. Pre-rendered sprites on a VERY early 3D track on PC - in the days BEFORE 3D cards. Pooky was the main player character and the look was athletic-fetishwear for want of a better term. Crazy Metal is also the first time we're introduced to a cornerstone of the Skiffyverse, the Lithorians, in the form of player, Rocky Simulcra.

I'll look at doing the 2000-2020s next week :)

OMG Josie&the Pussycats... that's a blast from the past. Although I have to admit, Arky is really cool, as always. ❤️
