End of Young Wolf/Future Replacement (Patreon)

I've mentioned this on my Discord and as a comment in the ongoing General poll, but I'm planning to do one more chapter of Young Wolf's Journey this month and then retire it as a poll fic. Looking at the various numbers (likes, views, poll discussion and votes, how new chapters impact the active patron count, etc), it seems clear to me that general interest has dried up with that story. I apologize to anyone who has still been enjoying that story, but this just feels like the right move to make given where we're at.

It probably would have taken at least another year or more to take it all the way through to the end, assuming we eventually had Daenerys come to Westeros and dealt with that conflict in addition to what's happening at the Wall. I wish it could've made it all the way to the finish line, but I believe this is the right decision based on where we're at now. If someone is interested in continuing the story as a regular commission beyond this last poll chapter, I'm open to discussing that. Reach out to me through whatever means you prefer if that's something you want to talk about.

Young Wolf being retired as a poll fic means I'll need to figure out what could take its place in August, and I'd like everyone's input on that. A few potential options as of right now:

-Bring back the Harry Potter general poll, and remove that fandom from the other General poll. This would mean a guaranteed two HP stories a month, between this and What's Yours is Mine for as long as that runs. But that might not be a bad idea. Just as the numbers don't lie where Young Wolf is concerned, they don't lie about what the majority of you are here for, and that's Potter stuff.

-Go with a new multichapter story. This could be either a brand new story, or a continuation of a previous fic ala What's Yours is Mine. Could be Potter, GoT or any fandom. If I did go with a new multichapter story, I think it's clear that it would need to be less ambitious than Young Wolf was in terms of how much I attempt to cover/how long it would take to finish.

-Someone suggested the possibility of doing an actual choose your own adventure type of thing, where you guys would vote between some different options, and I would then do a dice roll to determine how that choice played out. To paraphrase the example they used: say you had a choice between 'Harry seduces Fleur' or 'Harry seduces Hermione.' In that instance, you might get favorable outcomes at lower rolls with Hermione because she and Harry are already close, while it would take a higher roll to go all the way with Fleur. This would be something worth talking about/figuring out more on how it would work if you guys are interested in trying something like this.

-Bring back the Monthly Themed poll that we used to do before Young Wolf started, but with a twist. Before, I came up with the theme as well as all of the poll options for this, and you guys just voted between the options I chose. But since I already have my author's prompt commissions list to jot down my ideas and see if people are interested in commissioning them, a returning themed poll would see me just coming up with that month's theme, and $5+ patrons nominating. So, for example, if we'd done this in July, maybe I would have chosen a theme like 'Fireworks', and then the $5+ patrons would have been able to submit a prompt that used that theme in some way.

These are some options I've been mulling, but I'd love to hear what you guys think about them and what you'd like to see. If you have ideas on how to modify any of these, or some suggestions of your own to make, please share.
