Was going to try to put something together for a poll for Young Wolf's Journey today, but I've basically just been staring at a blank word document for like 45 minutes. There are really just so many different moving parts, different branches, viewpoints, etc. that could be explored after the end of the War of Five Kings that it's kind of overwhelming, to be honest. It's a lot to juggle, but equally importantly, I want the story to progress in directions you guys are interested in.

Maybe I should try something more along the lines of what I've been doing with What's Yours is Mine, where I allow $5+ patrons to actually submit a full option for the poll, with me having the freedom to modify it if I think certain things won't fit, as opposed to just asking for comments/suggestions from everyone as I've been doing. Thoughts?

((Edit: Initially I posted the below as a comment, but I think it's relevant enough to edit into the main post instead.))

Another potential alternative, if people would prefer it, would be to actually end the story with Robb's coronation in another chapter or two, leaving what happens with the Others/Daenerys, etc, unanswered and open to the reader's interpretation. That wasn't necessarily my plan when I started this, but the end of the War of Five Kings wouldn't be the worst place to wrap up if you guys would rather see this space in my posting schedule used for something else.

How about a scene between Sansa and Robb where she is trying to arrange a betrothal for herself. Maybe this can happened right after Robb was with Marg/Dacey/Mira so Robb is VERY uncomfortable with the topic and thinking about Sansa in the same position as the women he is sleeping with.

Just to clarify, this isn’t like incest or anything. Just Robb being an overprotective big brother.

I think Howland Reed needs to show up... so he turns up in Kings Landing and tells Robb about R+L=J. Believing that Jon needs to lead the forces of Westeros against the Others, Howland attempts to convince Robb to abdicate and crown his 'brother' King.

The chapter would also include an initial small council scene + a sex scene involving Margaery, Dacey, and maybe Alayaya

nah at this point jon is not needed, throne was taken by conquest not birthright like bobby B, although i would bet Robb is Robert's perferred heir, therefore someones birthright no longer matters in relation to the iron throne.

really need the Dorne situation taken care off, is Faegon a thing here? also you know little Myrcella still has that crush, and Robb needs to complete his sand snake collection....

Perhaps in this example, Howland would be less concerned with the throne itself than he would be with Jon leading the army of the living against the dead? Maybe he feels compelled to share Jon's true parentage with Robb because Jojen has had a green dream about Jon leading the army. The conflict would then be Robb needing to decide what to do with that information, and whether or not to share it with Margaery and/or the rest of the Tyrells. They would definitely back the idea of the right of conquest, but I could see Robb fearing that the Queen of Thorns might try to arrange for Jon to be eliminated, assuming Margaery has told him about her grandmother's penchant for scheming.

So, I think I'll try to put something for a poll together tomorrow, inspired by the options submitted here. If anyone wants to make any additional suggestions before that happens, you're welcome to.
