I haven't put a ton of thought into poll options for the August chapter; I've had quite a bit on my plate this week, as you've probably seen. But with Casterly Rock now firmly under Robb's control, it seems obvious that the next major point of focus for him should be dealing with Stannis. What direction that could go is still up in the air, so if you have any suggestions to make there, feel free to share them. Do we jump straight to Robb's army marching for King's Landing, or do we see something else happening? Maybe there is an attempt to negotiate, however futile it might seem?

Alternatively, maybe we spend this chapter somewhere else in Westeros while the two armies prepare? I'm open to ideas here. Robb might be the central character, but I have no problem giving someone else the spotlight here and there if you guys are interested in it. If you've got suggestions on what options you'd like to see in the coming poll, let me know.

I think Robb would try to negotiate... maybe he even suggests that Stannis could remain King if he acknowledges Robb as his heir (which Stannis obviously refuses)? However, maybe Robb decides he should try and deal with the Ironborn before dealing with Stannis. This leads to Asha getting captured and brought to Robb, and she gets involved in some sexual hijinks with him along with Dacey, Margaery etc.

Another thing I'd be aware of is if you do have Robb take out Stannis in the next 2-3 chapters, then you'll have to give him a new enemy to face off against. It'd probably have to be Aegon, as White Walkers and Dany are too far away at this stage. Maybe Varys tries to undermine Robb's rule, while Aegon/Jon Con prepare to invade? Unless, of course, Robb's initial battle against Stannis doesn't go as well as he might hope (which keeps Stannis in the game for a bit longer)?

Originally I was thinking I'd already mentioned something in passing about Robb sending a portion of his army up north to deal with the Ironborn while he focused on Casterly Rock. But I just combined the first six chapters into a single PDF so I could check everything more easily, and that doesn't seem to be the case. Maybe I included that in the text for a previous poll option and that somehow turned into making it into the story itself in my head. But as it stands, it seems like there's been no mention of dealing with the Ironborn within the story itself. If that's the direction Robb goes, it feels like he'd have to worry about Moat Cailin and Victarion before he would have a chance to go to Deepwood Motte/Asha. I'm trying to figure out if a trip to the Twins would be necessary if he wants to make it up to Moat Cailin faster, or if Robb only stopped there en route to Moat Cailin in the books because Balon demanded that he appear in person to apologize for breaking his betrothal. (In the show he went to the Twins because somehow Walder Frey had an army large enough to help him take Casterly Rock, but obviously we're not going off of that here, for multiple reasons.) Either way, it feels like there would be steps to be taken before a possible run-in with Asha, unless she left Deepwood Motte and fled south on land for whatever reason.

I think it makes sense for them to try to negotiate first, even if it's just Stannis demanding Robb to bend the knee. Would have to come up with a good reason Robb avoids a shadow assassination though. Could also check in on Sansa if thats something people are interested in.
