The village hidden in the leaf was unexpectedly very calm.
But a certain red building with fire emblem was not calm.
The tension was very high. The tension was due to Jiraya's arrival from his recent mission.
He came back without an arm and a leg and looking like a porcupine. On the verge of death, Jiraya came back with the help of his summons.
He was in coma. And according to Tsunade he might never wake up. The toads are very serious about the attacker Pain who possesses the legendary rinnegan.
The entire village was on high alert. At least that's for Ninja population.
And unexpectedly someone was in a very serious mood.
It was Uzumaki Naruto. The fox girl was on her way to catch Itachi along with her team when she was called back.

"I don't understand. If you knew that the mission was that much dangerous then why did you sent him alone in the first place ?" Naruto questioned Tsunade.

"This was a serious mission. And infiltration was his specialty. I ordered him not to engage in the first place." Tsunade's response shut her down.
It was the first time ever Naruto was not making any jokes.
"From the fight we fought alongside Jiraya boy, we have information about most of pain's abilities. But just before we are reverse summoned, Jiraya boy discovered something new. But due to his throat being crushed, he inscribed it on my back and was ready to sacrifice himself." Fukashaku, one of the toad elders spoke up.
"Wait a minute ! Who the hell is this ? And why is he calling Jiraya, a 'boy' ? For God's sake, he might look like a handsome middle aged man, but he is an ancient perverted hermit." Naruto shouted.

"Naruto they are the toad elders of mount myoboku. They are Jiraya's teachers." Tsunade massaged the bridge of her nose.
"Oh ho ! That means this geezer is even more perverted than the super perverted old man,
Sorry I am not interested in toads. And you are slimy." Naruto huffed and folded her arms under her boosoms emphasising their size.
"For God's sake Naruto ! can you ever be serious !" Tsunade just sighed.
"Okay I will be serious. Let's talk about our next plan, how to deal with this Pain, who is going to be the Pain in my a**."
Kakashi tried to muffle his laughter. Naruto always knows how to reduce the tension.
"Your pun aside, I propose you to train in sage mode. Jiraya boy was hopeful for you. Pain is very strong. And your current strength is not enough."
Technically speaking Naruto could have easily defeated Pain. Fukashaku was underestimating her chakra reserves due to her own expertise in supressing it.

Tsunade gave Shikamaru the task of decoding the message from Jiraya. And Naruto departed from the hidden leaf to mount myoboku.

Konan didn't look back and went away. She has preparation to made in order to capture nine tails.
