Herbert William Mullin is an American serial killer who killed 13 people in California in the early 1970s. He confessed to the killings, which he claimed prevented earthquakes, but saying it don't make it so!

I just looked up Herbie because I know he’s a few years older than me. He just died!, and I mean like yesterday or last night. I was living in Santa Cruz in the 70s, a naive 17 year old. I lived in a tent and hitch hiked, even though I had a car. My friend said it was a good way to meet people. Once we saw the cops dragging body bags down the hill on highway nine. Soon after, they were searching the ice plant along highway 1, looking for heads and hands that Eddie left behind. Oh, those were the days! I guess I like listening to true crime because I was living amongst it in my formative years.
