 The Springfield 3

The Springfield Three is an unsolved cold case that began on the night of June 7, 1992, when friends 19 year old  Suzie Streeter,18 year old Stacy McCall, and Streeter's mother, Sherrill Levitt, went missing from Levitt's home in Springfield, Missouri. All of their personal belongings, including cars and purses, were left behind. There were no signs of a struggle, except a broken porch light; and Levite’s dog that was barking and in a distressed state there was also a message on the answering machine that police believe might have provided a clue about the disappearances, but it was accidentally erased.  

The girls who were former best friends from grade school and had reconnected at their high graduation party that night and had planned to spend the night at their friend Janelle Kirby's house, but when they decided Kirby's house was too crowded, they instead left to go to Streeter's home, It is assumed they arrived, because their clothing, jewelry, purses and vehicles were all present at the house the next day and the beds looked like they had been slept in. Sherrill Levitt, Suzie's mother was last heard from at approximately 11:15 p.m. on June 6 when she spoke with a friend on the phone about painting furniture and that was the last time she was heard from.  

 The next day when Janelle Kirby was stood up on a date for the girls to all meet up and go to the water park she and her boyfriend went by the house and except for the porch lite being smashed nothing seemed out of place so she cleaned up the broken porch lite and left. when Stacey McColl did not phone home like promised her mother went to the Delmer street home to find beds that looked like they had been slept in and her daughters car in the garage but no one there and as she looked around the house the phone rang and the mystery caller asked her to play with herself.    

How were 3 woman taken from a home leaving behind all their possessions without a struggle? Over 30 years later it stilll remains a mystery the fate of the Springfield three.
