Thanks for the reaction! (and the mention, lol) Something I think I only just now began to think about, its an interesting detail that Lihua lost a baby to a poison that she and her lady in waiting's "didnt know" about (give or take for how valid they believed the warning was at the time) and even when the face powders were supposed to be removed from the rear palace, it was still being used and applied by one of the handmaidens, but that handmaiden even after everything is still able to be by Lihua's side without much issue. Jumping over to Ah-Duo who had almost literally the same thing happen but her handmaiden was so afraid that she pushed the issue so much farther due to her own personal guilt and faced those consequences but we see by example that if she was able to leave it alone that she would probably have been able to stay with Ah Duo

I love how Jinshi is acting more and more casually, like a regular young man, around Maomao. He’s not “playing the role” as much as when they first met. Maomao full on shoved him out of that house. 🤣 I love this show. Curious to see what eyepatch man is up to and what the new pure consort’s deal is. 👀
