Today's update is pretty important not just because it outlines our stuff for April, but also there are some specifics I think that are worth being across so people don't misunderstand. The reading comprehension devil strikes everyone eventually though, so any questions, leave them below! 😊

THE FOCUS

Welcome to the new-and-improved Lok takes care of himself timeline, where 🔥🔥consistency 🔥🔥 is the focus, and not MAXIMUM OUTPUT FULL THROTTLE CONTENT CONTENT CONTENT.

Finally! I'm finding some semblance of this thing they call 'balance'. Me finding balance is not for everyone though, so please read to the end if possible just so you're across what's good.

Part 1 - General notes

This month is a big cut-back for me. Frankly, I've been a bit worried about it for some time just because I know that inevitably, this will drive some people away because I don't post their favourite artists or frequency isn't what people want it to be or whatever, but some massive restructuring has been going on in my brain, and I'm so appreciative of those of you guys who are here to support.

At the end of the day, as much as I have to / want to focus on Patreon, I need to rest as well, be able to read and go outside, and also be able to focus on the YouTube channel too. I've been able to do none of that consistently for ages, and no amount of pre-filming or scheduling helps you if the workload simply has you drowning haha.

So, this watchlist is mainly for me to tell myself to chill the fuck out, and more than anything, give you quality vibes on a consistent basis with videos you can look forward to and that we can enjoy together as opposed to just spamming this that and the other because that's what people are used to. I figured out that most people honestly just value consistency even if frequency is smaller as opposed to just absolute quantity SPAM.

I asked a lot of you guys about language learning vibes over here too and the response was insane. This is something I've wanted to do forever as well too just to...advance my BRAIN and my language skills, but I've been on this deathloop of just thinking about how much content I can shit out each month before it burns me out.

I'm not getting ahead of myself on any of that, but just know that here I'm lowering my baseline as much as possible so my balance can be prioritised first, and if we happen to drop extra stuff then you guys are cheering. Not the other way around where things are coming out mega late, I'm on catch-up duty, and you guys can't look forward to when something is going to drop.

As somewhat of a final reminder, I'd just like to say again - I am NO LONGER a K-Pop only creator and have not been for a while. Does this mean K-Pop is disappearing? God no. It does mean though that I'm going to try and be creative with how I do things over here, and also factor in realistically what I can do with what I really want to do. SO-

Part 2 - K-Pop content

As you'll notice, LENIVERSE and Jeongwaja have been scrubbed just for the moment. I-Land 2 is happening, and honestly I've been waiting for this for YEARS. It's a huge potentially 2 hour timeslot just for one show each week, and you know that with me it's always longer because...well...🗣️🤣 I want to enjoy that as much as possible, but also know that these longer shows are draining.

On Mondays, I'll be uploading those above album listens sporadically, but those SPECIFIC album listens are guaranteed to be out in the month of April on Mondays. Purple Kiss, Young Posse, and also Wendy will be posted before the end of March. Any other comebacks that happen we'll just take it as it comes.

The live stage marathon will cover the following artists (at least): 🧨 Purple Kiss, YooA, Chungha, Twice, LE SSERAFIM, TXT, Babymonster, I.M, ARTMS, Loossemble, NCT Dream (and whoever else announces in April that I'm interested in) 🧨

tripleS remains weekly on Fridays with SIGNALs (how we feelin' out there, WAVs?), and I-Land 2 will start from the 18th. I'll be watching and posting teasers / performances prior to the beginning of April, just in case anyone was wondering.

As far content I'm interested in - I'd love to know if people are still down to watch Earth Arcade. I've been wanting to chuck it back on for a bit, and I'd love to see if anyone is still down to finish that off together. For BTOB, I'm just gathering some new content right now, but we'll have Hyunsik's album listen in April regardless. Knowing Bros Ep. 321 ft. BTOB might be next month. Have yet to see how it fits, but its on my radar! Eunchae's Star Diary ft. Nayeon x Wendy x ChungHa I also want to get to eventually, and of course back to LENIVERSE. Monsta X content, BTS and TXT is still on the radar too. I just don't want to overload, and certainly don't want to overpromise.

Part 3 - K-Drama content

As you guys can see - we have 3 dramas currently up! I ran a poll, and no matter what, somehow people get the wrong ideas with them sometimes so there's not a "winner" from last poll, but rather just an interest check on what people are down to watch.

In line with not stressing myself and also just being as transparent with you guys as possible, I'm simply just not going to commit certain days / frequency to two of the dramas at least for April while I go back to the drawing board.

Marry My Husband and Twinkling Watermelon are PRIORITY dramas for me (which means YES I am going to be posting them and keep watching them), but doing it at an unspecified pace just gives me so much more room to post as frequently as I want to whether that be a little more or a little less - just as long as drama content goes up, which it always does.

So we'll have It's Okay To Not Be Okay on an episode a week, and Marry My Husband / Twinkling Watermelon dropping 💫 sporadically. 💫 This means it could be once a week if I can manage for each, or it might be once one week, then a 2 week break and then you get 3 eps in one drop another week - just as an example.

I'm just going to watch, film, and drop those at the pace that works. Thanks for your understanding in advance, y'all!

Part 4 - Anime content

First and foremost y'all, THE LIVE ANIMES ARE FINISHED 😮‍💨😮‍💨 They were INCREDIBLE but please for the love of god don't let me follow 6-7 animes (3 of which are the big 3????) again at the same time LMAO. It was way harder for the last 6-ish months than I'd thought, but the output for anime was at maximum overdrive for so long I thought I was going to die in March.

Don't get me wrong, I've loved every second of the shows we've watched, but I figured out my maximum limits pretty quickly.

SO!

This month, we'll be back to just the big 3 (One Piece, Naruto, Bleach) and Hunter x Hunter.

🧑‍🌾 Hunter x Hunter will just be one drop again whilst I just reset a bit, and then from May I'll start assessing where it fits in the overall scheme of things. It might be like 2 episodes a week or something eventually, but I'm sure most of you guys would just be happy with anything - even this arrangement we have now, so thank you for that!

🍓 For Bleach...THOUSAND YEAR BLOOD WAR STARTS NOW BABY!- and that means that Bleach goes from 5 episodes a week down to 2 episodes. This shouldn't be new information to you guys as I've talked about it EVERY OPPORTUNITY I GET on the videos lmao but basically Bleach: 5 episodes ➡️ 2 episodes.

🥷🏻🏴‍☠️For Naruto Shippuden and One Piece - this might sound kind of crazy, and maybe I've blown it up way too much in my head at least, but I'll be reducing the episode counts from 5 episodes a week...to 4 episodes a week 🤣

I know it seems kind of pointless, but the grand scheme of things makes a massive difference.

3 live animes - 3 eps / week x 4 = (12 eps) +
Bleach (normally 5 episodes) down to 2 eps a month = 3 ep diff x 4 weeks = (12 eps) +
One Piece & Naruto - 1 episode / week each = 2 x 4 (8 eps)...

Total: I'm scrubbing off 32 episodes of anime this month alone and it gives me so much time to either rest or get ahead it's not funny. This is my aim, and this is what we've been doing in excess for the last 2-3 months lmao.

Lastly, regarding Twitch, in an effort to make things more efficient and also to just preserve that energy / take regular breaks, etc., I'm going to be taking most content off of Twitch.

Sorry for those of you guys who frequent the livestreams, but the constant hyper-awareness of spoilers for animes we're watching / matching my sleep with timezones on the opposite side of the world for viewership / general awareness of chat / inability to take breaks for extended periods / dead chats sometimes affecting my own energy, I've just decided that I'd go back to pulling up and filming whenever I want during the day off stream, and I'll share some K-Pop stuff like the live stage marathons and probably tripleS SIGNALs over there.

I'll pull up and do gaming streams and general chatting streams and stuff each week, but they'll be scheduled eventually, and won't be focussed on content. I've streamed 164 out of the last 180 days for at least 6 hours on average, and it's safe to say, I'm dead lmao.

I'll be taking more care and just pulling up for vibes and to chat / just enjoy your company, so I hope some of you can still come through. i always worried my Patreon was inaccessible as well too, so did EVERYTHING through stream first, but I think we had a solid time doing that, and now we're back.
