last week's post I talked about how buck struggles with romance, and, well, I think this illustrates some of that. I worry this makes him seem really self centered or something, which I guess he is a bit egotistical, as most pretty boy jocks might be. buck knows that huge tooth is fascinating, strange, unusual. it usually gets the attention of girls, and they do tend to think its cute, alluring, masculine etc.

duke's twin sister here is the new "victim" to his attempts at swooning girls, and she's clearly not too impressed. she finds buck cute in a dumb kind of way, but she knows very well his reputation as a dummy, eager to jump in bed with some popular girls... this conversation about where his tooth comes from isn't the most riveting to her and she can tell he's blowing smoke, but just hasn't found the words to tell him to bug off just yet.

buck is really a nice guy, just dense. a simple no would be enough, but it might also wound him a bit.
