Request Stream Saturday, and minor 25$ tier change (Patreon)

I have the rare Saturday off of stuff, so I can do one actually! Will shoot for 4pm EST.

I'm also changing something on the 25$ tier for the request streams. I'm going to be removing the double name entry; replacing it with just a lack of a cooldown (meaning don't have to wait 1 stream of being ineligible; eligible for every stream. There's still the limit of 1 win per person per stream). To me it feels more appropriate to let 25$ tier to simply be active in more drawings, rather than have increased chances to win, especially against other patrons. I'd rather even it back out to the point where in each drawing, everyone has the same chance to win, 25 would just be able to participate in -more- drawings, with the absence of a cooldown, especially since they get their own 25 tier draw.


The change will start next month though; so for Saturday it will remain the same, I'm just letting people know ahead of time. I find it more fair, and still rewarding. A better balance, really. Hope you guys shall agree~

Agreed, I had been thinking before about how much more likely was for a $25 Patron to get chosen in comparison to the rest with the compounded effect of all their advantages, but never came out to say it. Not brave enough, I guess. Let's see what they think, though.

Hey Fluff, Thanks for the heads up on this. I'm actually quite amenable to this, as it widens the pool of ideas that can be drawn from each time, and I definitely have found some of people's ideas in the streams to be quite interesting ^.^ Hopefully by widening the pool in the later draws, it allows a greater range of ideas to come up in in the sketches XD V/R, Mag.

Is this suggesting that 25s be able to continue to enter after winning in the same stream? If so, I'd really not like that. I don't think anyone needs to be able to win more than once per stream. I was actually considering suggesting removing the cooldown for everyone overall, though, because there should be enough people attending that we're unlikely to see the same winners week after week (outside of the 25-only drawing which has a smaller pool).

No, the "no cooldown" just means no "waiting 1 or 2 streams later for another chance". There's still the hard rule of a person can only win once per stream. And i'll give the cooldown thing a thought, again, the only reason it was there to start was to make sure people who hadn't won recently had a higher chance, trying to balance/even it out.

Sound idea. Keeps the likelihood more even for everyone involved while keeping the high pledges having that little bit extra.

I dont mind the whole idea of evening the playing field of the streams, but that was the only thing that made the 25 tier feel like it was worth more than twice the 10 tier, I am looking over the 25 tier and without the second vote that leave: ----- 4 votes for the Patreon Pinup. (not much more then 10) ----- No cooldown on request streams. (while this is nice, it doesnt seem to matter much as almost no one wins twice in a row, and to be honest it means that unlike the other tiers, the chances of an individual winning in future streams doesnt increase... it stays the same since all the 25s will still be there) ----- Cameo slots in comics offered here first. (not exactly much of a bonus as anyone can get in, and the only time the 25 gets the advantage is if they tie with a lower tier for an idea for one of the slots) ----- Will offer previous month rewards at 2:1 ratio. (nice for catching up on art, but if you have been here long enough this doesnt seem to have a point) ----- Discounts like on printed art and commissions when I do them, (this got me excited... but as it is put WHEN... I havent seen commissions ever open, and i can understand why, being busy with the comics and streams makes it hard to be able to do commissions... but that basically means this part is null and void)
