Wailing Behemoth

Since it was first discovered 150 years ago as it just hatched from an unknown egg inside a derelict temple, the wailing behemoth is still growing even now. It has an insatiable appetite and will devour anything within its reach. 

Its body is almost impervious to damage from both physical and magical attacks, and it has an extremely fast regeneration ability. But it tends to act like a baby and will run after being sufficiently harassed. It is currently trapped inside the Faerie Maze deep within the Cernunnos forest. 

Based on its growth and larvae-like appearance, researchers suspected that it is still in an infant stage. But the question is what kind of monstrosity this creature will become when it reaches adulthood.

Doom is quite an interesting prompt, when I start thinking of the concept, I realize it can go in many different ways. searching references with the keyword 'Doom' shows, well Doom franchise. But despite the appearance, those creatures are killable. 

Then I had the idea from the word 'Impending Doom'. What if it is an unkillable creature, it's a physical creature but practically unkillable. Then what if it's not yet reached its final form, it's still growing into whatever monstrosity it would become, but you can't do anything to stop it, as you watch it grow bigger and stronger year after year. It's practically a natural disaster waiting to happen.
