I warned you! I warned you at the start this was a nobody heavy episode. Get ready to never see most of these folks again, with the exception of Lou, Eddie, Dr Marvin Monroe and, strangely, the Gammills. God speed, creepy pawn shop clerk, we hardly knew ye. The show is still finding its footing, and as such Springfield remains largely undefined. Still a fair amount of heavy hitters to be seen in season one though.

There were 21 new characters introduced in this episode, slightly more than Homer's Odyssey, bringing us up to 104 total.
