This is a much better way to end our time with Homer's Odyssey.

This scene is kind of infamous for being so...strange:

Look at them all! I've barely scratched the surface of this crowd, I find new gems every time I look.

This is the result of a show that has not found its footing yet. The producers were unhappy with the Klasky Csupo animation work on what was supposed to be the first episode - "Some Enchanted Evening" - and much of it was redone, pushing that episode to the end of the season. "Homer's Odyssey" was not afforded the same luxury, and so we have some of the least refined character designs in the show's history. It is loosey goosey and I love it.
