0067 - Terri Mackleberry (Patreon)

It was very tempting to just reuse the Sherri image and copy and paste her entry here (with minor adjustments), but let's instead turn our attention elsewhere:

Did you know there is a rumoured third Mackleberry sister? She is mentioned by our old pal Dr J Loren Pryor in the season 22 episode "The Blue and the Gray", who tells Bart that the twins were once conjoined triplets, and the third sister is out for revenge. I watched the whole episode for this one line, because I am a dedicated researcher.

The attentive Simpsons fanbase  have taken this idea and ran with it, citing multiple potential "appearances", although none have been confirmed as an actual third sister. It's likely that any appearances of a third sister are merely an animation error, but it's an idea that has gained enough traction to persevere. One throwaway joke births a miniature conspiracy theory, with fans on the lookout for a character that probably will never exist. I seemingly find a new rabbit hole every week with this project, I love it.
