Greetings adventurers!

High society and all their formalities and procedures, more rules and laws than one could ever think possible. It makes my head spin and frankly, I prefer to carouse with the oddballs down at the Nest rather than bathe in the ostentatious fineries of the upper crust. I will say, all of their formalities do present many opportunities for an enterprising individual such as myself. Do you want to see the reactions on the baron’s face when you mail him that you and his son have run away to join the circus? Perhaps you want to know who is trusted by the justiciar enough to be in his private chambers. Interest in what color drapes the hangman has? Well now you can learn all of that and more with our latest little box of tricks.

Our patrons get early access to all of these items as well as additional formats that are easily usable in both physical and online play for D&D and Pathfinder 2E. Additionally they get high-res art exports, easy to use text exports, behind the scenes updates, and a lot more.

If that strikes your fancy, consider becoming a Patron

Design notes from Matthew:
I’m a big fan of spy movies. Always have been and probably always will be. There’s just something enjoyable to me about the espionage of it all. The excitement of if they’ll get caught and how they’ll get out of it when they do. That leads me to want to make a lot of things that give information. It also leads me to running a lot of campaigns with a heavy stream of mystery behind them. The only thing more fun than learning a secret is finding out that there is one to be learned, at least in my opinion.
With that in mind, sealing a letter with a wax stamp is one of those old formalities that I do miss on occasion. I have some lovely friends who have sent me wax sealed envelopes and it always feels exciting to break that seal and open the letter inside. I’m so excited to interact with a wax seal that not a moment of thought is paid to what is inside. Now in settings where you’re getting them often, it might be less exciting, but then they’re just simply not noticed.
I made the function of these similar to scrying/clairvoyance spells in each of the systems. I was thinking of putting sound with them too, but that ultimately didn’t make a lot of sense to me as this is more meant for keeping an eye on someone. I think the more interesting part about this is the way it’s prepared and delivered. You can see the moment information is turned over if you plan the letter right. That can lead to interesting moments where someone doesn’t react how the party may think they should. What will they do with that information? That’s where the fun dwells.

This one was a bit of self indulgence into things I enjoy with the heavy espionage tones and the wax seals and all. I like making things that perhaps fall outside of a normal adventurer’s pack and ask the question of how society could function with certain magics present within it. With things like spy cameras and the like, I thought this would be a nice little way to incorporate the idea of that tech into proper fantasy.

We highly encourage you to join our Discord server where you’ll get access to exclusive channels that have sneak peeks, behind the scenes chatter, and more.
