Greetings adventurers!

Tinkering and tooling around with parts you already have on hand in order to make something a little different is a time honored tradition in Dwarven cultures. So much so that they often have scrapyard competitions where they put together the best of what they can with whatever they have lying around. The Man O’  Wheel was a product of one such competition. After seeing it parked outside of a local tavern, I simply had to meet the creator who was a bit of a gambling man. Luck was on our side that night as you would have it and now we’re the owners of this fine machine… Though I am dreadfully terrified of it.

Our patrons get early access to all of these items as well as additional formats that are easily usable in both physical and online play for D&D and Pathfinder 2E. Additionally they get high-res art exports, easy to use text exports, behind the scenes updates, and a lot more.

Design notes from Matthew:
Another one of our Drudgework creations brought to life! I always thought it was a bit odd that there are so few vehicles present in Pathfinder and D&D 5E. It seems like in a world where magic and invention lie around every corner that there would be more thought paid to how people get around. That’s something I wanted to tackle with this and as we had the idea for a chariot creature, it was the perfect time to get into it.
Writing vehicles is shockingly hard in 5E and shockingly easy in PF2E. It was an odd back and forth between the two systems. I basically had to include full rules for the 5E version as there isn’t much in place around vehicles, whereas PF2E does have a full system built out for them as well as a specialized format. This is one of those situations where I utilized the bones present in PF2E to inform what I needed to include on the 5E version and I think that worked out quite well in the end.
One last thing I had to tackle is that I didn’t realize early enough that you could basically use the Man O’ Wheel to get around without consequence to your own turn. I pulled in some rules about needing to use an action to operate it and requiring you to keep your hands on the bars to control it. That added enough downside to make it interesting, but still present a choice.

Later today we’ll have the release of the paired creature that goes along with this in the Drudgework Chariot. I love working on these pieces, but soon the series will have to come to an end as we move on towards other themes. We definitely have at least one left though so worry not!

We highly encourage you to join our Discord server where you’ll get access to exclusive channels that have sneak peeks, behind the scenes chatter, and more.
