Well, the dwarves have been busy with their Drudgework machinery and the more they turn out, the more unintended uses we find for parts and pieces of it. I’m not sure what happened to the original Cleaver that this backpack and tail were mounted to, but what I’m very certain of is that it will make a surprising addition to an adventuring arsenal. Just strap it to your back and give your problems (or your friends) a fling!

Alrighty, well we’re back at the end of the month and that means it’s time for our extra One More Thing release. We’ve been doing a series of Drudgework constructs to go along with the fabulous Tom Cartos’ dwarven setting of Bharzul. We love getting to make a series as it’s something we don’t often get to do and creating items along with each of the creatures is a thing that we’ve really come to adore creating.

The beast that will be releasing later today resembles a beaver in many ways and one of the things we keyed in on early is how much fun it is to throw your friends around. That’s basically where this whole idea started. No one tosses a dwarf? Well I’m sorry, but I disagree. I think hurling your barbarian friend directly towards the enemy in a fit of rage is exactly what I want to do!

The addition of swimming speed and the mechanics that come along with that were all Fernando’s idea and the grease keg was as well. When he was illustrating it, he realized it needed some vertical balance and I fully agreed to write that into the item. Sometimes that’s how the process goes between us. The idea informs the visuals which inform the item. A good collaborative process is what it’s all about!

This is the latest in our line of Drudgework themed items and later on today we’ll be releasing our One More Thing for the month where you’ll be able to get ahold of the creature that this item stems from.
