Greetings adventurers!

Botanists the world over have been looking to grow more interesting forms of their preferred greeneries for eons untold, but I must admit that stopping into a particular florist in town opened my eyes to new possibilities. With druidic influence and a green thumb, she thought it was possible to naturally grow magical weapons pulling from the weave of the land itself. I was so excited by the prospect, I invested at once and I’m happy to say that investment has bloomed into a thriving partnership, bursting with potential.

Our patrons get early access to all of these items as well as additional formats that are easily usable in both physical and online play for D&D and Pathfinder 2E. Additionally they get high-res art exports, easy to use text exports, behind the scenes updates, and a lot more.

Design notes from Matthew:

I have been looking forward to creating some chakrams for some time now. I find them to be a really interesting weapon with not a lot of representation in the 5E space. I knew it was up to me in that aspect if I wanted to actually include them so this one was a bit more complicated on the 5E front due to that.

The basic traits to give the weapon were pretty straightforward to me. Light, finesse, and the 1d6 damage all seemed pretty natural and in tune with other weapons around the 5E space. The real problem was figuring out the range. I had to turn to some other splatbooks I’ve seen around and took some inspiration from older editions of D&D to come up with the 20/60 set.  The rest of the design on offer was pretty straightforward once I determined that I wanted this to be a gap closing weapon.

For the PF2E variant, I had to make some changes to accommodate for these being a paired set, thus the more expensive gold price. I had initially considered making the retrieval action a free action, but not applying any cost to it whatsoever just felt like I was giving it a bit too much freedom to do additional damage that I didn’t want. Also, this provides a new way to bleed, which can be helpful when paired with certain magics.

It’s so exciting to finally bring some chakrams to the table. They’re one of those really interesting and different styles of weapon that I hope we get to design more of. I’ll certainly be keeping my eye out for more ideas to build in this space. Also it’s fun to give it a “grown” theme.

We highly encourage you to join our Discord server where you’ll get access to exclusive channels that have sneak peeks, behind the scenes chatter, and more.
