Hey guys, just a quick poll for something that was on my mind.

I hope you all enjoyed the extra long chapter of HW. It was about 19k words and could've easily become 20k. Most of my chapters average 10-15k words, but I realize those are already decently long compared to average FF. Here I am working on the next chapter of KotW and I feel like it'll be a long one too considering the circumstances of the chapter.

So my question to you guys is what do you prefer? Longer, more infrequent chapters, or quicker shorter chapters?

The benefit of longer chapters is that I can feel more comfortable mixing in story and smut in the same chapter. Shorter means we'd either have some chapters with no sex at all (or fast and non-focused scenes) while having some chapters that's literally just sex and nothing else.

Just as an example, would you rather have two 10k word chapters or one 20k? (Those numbers are just an example, and not representative of my chapters going forward.)

Regardless of the winner, I think we'll still have some longer chapters for special moments and some shorter chapters for more focused scenes. This is just to gauge what you guys like!

Your chapters are long enough to feed North Korea out of calorie deficit. They're very good for detailed storytelling. Short chapters can be good, but at the same time feel weaker in terms of exposition.

I actually don’t mind the idea of shorter chapters that don’t feel the need to cram in sex every time, but in my experience rushing things leads to lower quality and eventual artist burnout and disillusionment.
