Creating Head Split Morphs in Daz Studio using the dFormer (Patreon)
Content
Hello again my people 👋
I've finished editing two of three videos that I can give you here as an early access weekend treat.
I've had this question several times recently: "How can we split a full body morph into a head and body slider? I've tried Shape Splitter but it didn't work with Genesis 9". It's true: Shape Splitter is a little hit and miss with G9. If you've been digging through the folders in the starter essentials on both G8 and G9, you may have seen a dFormer, yet loading it doesn't seem to do anything.
After some testing it turns out we can use the dFormer's influence field as attenuation parameter when we run Morph Loader, which is the magic formula behind creating split head/body morphs! I thought let's share this dynamite knowledge with everyone and made an English and a German version for this video. Enjoy!
I have another long-ish video about GoZ in the works, watch out for that one next week. And if you happen to be free this afternoon, join me and Dartanbeck on the Daz+ stream at 4pm EST, where we talk shop about animation workflows and tips in Daz Studio.
Have a good weekend ❤
