Randomize Modular Synty Characters in Unreal Engine (Patreon)

Hello Supporters!
It's Early Access video time again this fine Sunday: In this episode I'll show you how to pick random accessories for your Synty Characters. We'll see how to give them different hair styles, outfits, skin colours and body shapes with the magic of arrays. This will make your crowd scenes stand out from... the crowd.
I've been meaning to make a follow-up to my earlier Synty videos and nearly forgot, until a friendly viewer reminded me (thanks Ash).
In other news, I seem to have run into an issue with Premiere Pro that keeps biting me from time to time. When you render out a video, it doesn't always render the whole sequence. In my latest post about the Substance Tattoo, it happened to leave off the last few minutes. I'm currently re-uploading it to Vimeo, so the same links will work - but I had already made the German version public, and it seems to be popular enough for people to have noticed. I'll re-upload that, but that will change the link and remove all current comments (which is always super sad). Glad the English version wasn't live yet.
For today's video, the opposite has happened and Premiere added a few minutes of black to the end 😁 so you're not missing out, you're just getting "extra" (commercial use license for black video included). I'll fix that up as well in due course.
Also some animation news: I've been busy rendering out the snippets for the new holding loop yesterday night, so the latest version of House on the Hill and Messenger Statue are nearly ready for prime time. Today I'll put the finishing touches on the Quinn Crowd in Venice animation that I started on the stream yesterday, made with one of this month's Unreal Engine freebies.
I already have two more ideas for small animation projects, and that German wrap series is in the can too, so watch out for those. Have a good week 👋
