Hello Supporters 👋

I've had a great and busy week, in which  I've managed to record several videos that I'm excited to share with  you. The first one is an early access tutorial about creating tattoos on  the Daz characters with Substance Painter. There's no way I can turn  that into a catchy title though, so I hope the above will suffice as.

Tattoos  aren't difficult to make in Substance Painter, but exporting the maps  with transparency and no underlying material is - unless you know the  trick: add a transparency layer, and paint your tattoo with an alpha  map. Creating these things, then turning the resulting project into a  geoshell isn't for the faint hearted, so I'm hoping this video will  clear up the confusion. I've made an English and a German version. Enjoy!

Meanwhile,  over on the Daz channel, I've explained how to use the new 2023 bridges  to bring content from Daz Studio into both Blender and Unreal Engine.  It was fun turning the G8 and G9 into playable characters and see them  come alive in UE. This was a Daz+ stream for "subscribers only", but I'm  planning to turn the workflow principles and its intricacies into  shorter videos in the coming months. You can access the link from the watch page on the Daz+ Forum.

And  on Sunday, in case you've missed it, I did a stream on my own channel  about animating AI Behaviour in Unreal Engine. I remember doing this a  few years ago in UE4, but had never tried it in 5. I'm happy to say, it  worked out in the end and I've made a cute little crowd scene with 50 or  so Quinn's in random colours. You can watch the stream here.

That's it for now. Have a great week 💖
