In this episode I'll show you how I've implemented a very basic mechanic  for planting a variety of vegetables on the Synty Farm, and how to  harvest what we've grown. I've been following a fantastic tutorial by  Katie and have applied what we've learnt in her 7th video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmxIXXoN9Yo

Our "homework assignment" was to find a way to remove all flowers with a  single function, and I've explained how I've done that too. By default,  all flowers (or vegetables in my case) were spawned directly underneath  the player. I've amended this mechanic so that items are spawned in  front of the player, thanks to a tip from Peter Ryan (developer of  Silhouette): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMBlz0o5wNk

I've mentioned that I'd like to figure out a way to make the plants move with the wind. I'm happy to tell you that I've figured it out! It can be done with a computationally cheap material effect. You can read more about it in my latest article.

Pretty cool, Jay. I'm happy to see you are continuing to learn Unreal (and also sharing a bit of what you learned with us).
