Hello there, fellow traveller!

Today I'll show you how to hook up Control Rig properties to drive Morph Targets so we can animate them from the Sequencer in Unreal Engine. For me this was the missing link for full character animation, and something that's seriously unintuitive to figure out (like so many things in 3D applications).

I've uploaded a concept demo to my 3D Shenanigans channel for a quick overview and figured an in-depth tutorial might come in handy, for both you and my future self who will inevitably forget how this works. ☺️

A quick note on the audio: when I edited the video, I thought it wasn't quite in sync. I suspected my wireless Apple AirPods at first, they can produce a frame here and there, so I switched to a different model but saw the same deviation. Thinking it's probably something OBS bodged up during recording, I shifted the audio accordingly and it looked fine on the rendered version. Turns out on a different machine it is now out of sync the other way, so I guess my ears or the AirPods have betrayed me! I'll take care of it for the final version.

I'll have another Unreal Engine related video later this week, so watch out for that.

Happy Monday everyone :-)
