Holy crap, they are starting to like exponentially compound Exp at this point. I love this story.

I wonder if that would stack? What if he had the amulet and now everyone in the party got potentially more exp than the original person who got the kill.

aaaw, how endearing. Also: cool and useful. I worry about that ranger though, prime traitor material now for sure.

Amazing chapter

Kinda agree with Vargas on this one

He has some valid points. But that's all undercut by the blackmail, threats, and jealousy. And more than a bit of hypocrisy since he was trying to coerce his way into a slot that I doubt he'd never give up to others. If he had gotten the other nine rangers together and gone to Rob he would had a better shot at making and getting in the rotation.

Anonymous

It probably already does. Doesn't fast learner already boost exp gain?

Jesus Christ what a bloody amazing chapter, the chills when rob walks up.

Fantastic Chap. Watching the cracks form in the Deserters+RR feels real organic, limited resources will make have an have nots.

They wouldn't gain more EXP, per se. Here's a quick example of what happens now when someone in Rob's Party (with Orn'tol included) kills an eye: 1. Rob kills a rabbit. He gains EXP, fully boosted by Fast Learner. 2. Everyone else gains a portion of that EXP, partially boosted by Fast Learner. Example B: 1. Someone else (let's say Keira) kills a rabbit. She gains EXP, partially boosted by Fast Learner. 2. Rob gains a portion of that EXP, fully boosted by Fast Learner. 3. Everyone else gains a portion of that EXP, partially boosted by Fast Learner. I don't want to assign hard numbers to how much people are gaining, but in general the non-Rob people will be gaining more than half, but less than full of the EXP for someone elses' kill.

you can't convince me that Rob isn't thinking "i'm dad now, these are my kids" lmao

My intent for Vargas was to create someone with sympathetic motivations who's been twisted into an unsympathetic person. He might actually have gotten what he wanted if he wasn't a pissant about it and spoke to Rob directly, but envy and fear do awful things to people.

Seems like the point of the blackmail was so he didn't have to share with the other rangers.

It's interesting to see Rob from other viewpoints. It's almost like the Percy Jackson effect, an observer sees someone incomprehensibly strong and intimidating...and then you switch to their POV and it's just elevator music in their head xD
