Love your insight into sayaka. What do you think about the rest of the characters?(Homura, madoka, kyouko, kyubey) Also don't worry about the pausing and discussions. We madoka fans live for the discussions. So this episode we get kyouko's backstory. Now we know why she's eating in about every scene she's in. She has starvation trauma! Yay trauma! I really like how they showed how sayaka and kyouko foil each other. We also see sayaka think Mami would be disappointed in her bc she almost regretted saving Hitomi. (Which is one reason why I think she's trying to hold herself to Mami's standard). Love the fight at the end where it's black and white. Then the black screen with madoka begging her to stop. So this next thing is conjecture on my part. In Christianity we tend to have the belief that our soul is somewhat separate from our bodies. While in Shinto they believe that the spirit is part of the body. Thus them saying they are zombies/not human. Why are you scared? This is a magical girl anime, nothing bad ever happens

I can talk more in depth about other characters in the next video, since it’s mostly been Sayaka for the last few episodes. It is an interesting theory on your part, I’m not sure how much this actually does focus on the Shintoist beliefs, but it does seem like a possibility. You tricked me once with the cutesy Magical girl anime lie, never again…

Especially the following chapters, you may want to see them all together, I couldn't bear to see only one chapter a day. The first time I watched Madoka, I watched all the episodes in one afternoon. You'll also really like the movie. Apart from that, there is the anime "Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Gaiden", which is an adaptation of the story of a video game they made. I liked that one a lot, but unfortunately it was not very popular or as acclaimed unlike the original Madoka anime, they introduce many new concepts that I think are very interesting although it is more difficult to follow (there are 3 seasons, there are too many characters and I recommend watch the chapters in a row because it is easy to forget things).
