AEW might be getting some more help on the creative end.

Fightful Select has learned that longtime wrestler-turned-creative writer Jimmy Jacobs is backstage at AEW Dynamite today in Washington, DC. We’re told Jacobs was a surprise face popping up, and exchanged hugs and pleasantries with numerous people at the show.

Jacobs has signed with AEW as All Elite Wrestling has expanded with Collision debuting Saturday. Bryan Danielson has also been brought on to help, in addition to the hiring of Will Washington.

Jacobs has been working for IMPACT Wrestling since November 2017, where he’s been an integral part of the creative team ever since.  Jacobs worked for WWE as a creative writer between March 2015 and October 2017. He was fired for taking a photo with members of the Bullet Club who did an “invasion” outside of Raw.

In an update, we're told Jacobs has finished up with IMPACT and is with AEW full-time.

Is he any good? I honestly don't remember much of his work.

I know Jericho loves him. He’s the guy behind the whole feud with him and Moxley in WWE.

Martin Holmes

Oh I hope that's true. Jacobs seems to have a great creative mind (the man behind The List). Also, it opens up the possibility for a New Age of the Fall faction in ROH.

Kyle Pribila

Fingers crossed 🤞 it's true

Not totally familiar with his work, but that last sentence makes me like him, at least

Insomnia Inc

The zombie princess has always had a hell of a creative mind in wrestling. This could be fun

FWPJR.

This is great news, love Jacobs in the ring and outside of the ring.

Please, be true 🙏🙏

It's funny that WWE fired him for taking a picture with friends cause they were doing an "invasion" outside of the building when one of the top RAW segments that WWE loves to tout is DX "invading" WCW Nitro outside of the building.

I'm sad he's not with Impact anymore but I'm also happy to see him in AEW!

Now this is a good get.

He worked extensively with Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho during their feud. The List of Jericho and the Festival of Friendship were all Jimmy Jacobs
