Fightful Select met up with the AEW World Heavyweight Champion MJF at the Squared Circle Expo in Indianapolis.

During the video introduction, MJF interrupted Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp and asked him how many interviews they had done now; Sean would tell MJF of the time that MJF got them kicked out of the MGM lobby. Sean also reminded him they had their own Chris Jericho and Ralphus expedition across the hotel because MJF knew Sean was carrying about 50 pounds of gear on his back.

MJF asked Sean which interview it was in which he intentionally pulled the mic out. Sean told him that it was the one at the MGM. Sean reminded him that he had also interrupted his interview with Eric Bischoff and Thunder Rosa.

When questioned how he felt about Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., not being a fan of his promos on Twitter, MJF said she's upset because she thinks she's a pillar, and "that's because PG Punk said so." MJF would explain further and say she was not a pillar, and even if she was, what would she do, wrestle him for the World title? He says he's three times her size but respects that she is a dentist. MJF looks directly into our camera and explains what a dentist does.

MJF would ask Sean if he saw the quarter-hour [television rating numbers]. MJF says his numbers are always good, and that's why he is always on TV for 20 minutes every fucking week; he draws in numbers weekly and finishes by saying, "So sorry, not sorry."

When asked how he landed his song for MJF Day, "Pennies from Heaven." MJF asked Sean if he wanted the truth; MJF would stand up, pull his sock down, and lift his pant leg to reveal a tattoo of his Grandfather, Papa Stanley. MJF told us that his Grandfather was a band leader, and "Pennies from Heaven" was one of his favorites.

The conversation about music would continue because Sean asked the AEW Champ if he would have instead done a duet with Chris Jericho or him. MJF was befuddled and said he wished he would have never done anything with Jericho. Sean then told MJF that they could sing a Doja Cat song. MJF simply said, "Who the fuck is Doja Cat?" Next, MJF would tell Fightful that he only knew of one cat, Allie Katch, and he did not mince words about her and added that she could not sing.

The two would then briefly discuss Allie Katch's singing skills. Finally, MJF told Sean that Katch has horrific taste in music. MJF said when they were together, she constantly blasted Lady Gaga in the car and said that's why he left her and that the only Lady Gaga song he liked was "Shallow" from the movie "A Star Is Born." MJF said they would do a duet of that song, and he also mentioned that Bradley Cooper was so handsome in it.

The conversation continued when Sean told MJF, "You hate me, but you would rather talk to me than the people waiting for him in line." MJF noted that it was a very welcome rest for him, and he talked about a hysterically crying baby at the show. MJF said the baby stopped crying because he asserted dominance and would also tell us that he would be a great Dad.

When asked what he thought of Roman Reigns defeating Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39, MJF would tell us that  Rhodes and himself had an interesting past and noted that Cody looked like a Top Guy but did not win and that Rhodes is the epitome of putting the work in. MJF told us that he doesn't know if he would have been happy if Cody won, but he does know that Cody had an incredible outing, and it was probably the best match of the entire night.

Got garbled and repeated at the end but interesting (but not esp world shattering) stuff

Needs editing, but great work. Looking forward to it.

I hope I don’t get banned for this but when asked why he picked Pennies from Heaven I read it as “he pulled his C*** down” lmao
