Select Portions: WWE, Charlotte, More (Patreon)
Content
- Gabe Sapolsky was at Josh Barnett's Bloodsport, scouting for WWE. We've since learned he was at several GCW shows.
- MVP, who doesn't do a lot of media, stayed at press junkets well over his scheduled time in order to promote WrestleMania during media days. Dakota Kai stayed over time too.
- Fightful is dropping interviews with Matt Cardona and Alpha Academy this week.
- Charlotte Flair spoke with Fightful Select during WrestleMania Week and was asked by Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp if she still gets butterflies going into an [bigger] event or if it was just normal for her now. Charlotte said she still gets butterflies when competing at Mania and mentioned that it's not a good sign if you don't get nervous. Charlotte would also tell Fightful about the night she returned to WWE this past December after her seven-month hiatus.
Flair said she did not know she would win the SmackDown Women's Championship until that evening on the December 30th, 2022, episode. She said knowing fans missed her and winning the title off of Ronda Rousey the way she did makes sense considering Ronda broke her arm.
When asked if there were wrestlers she liked rooting for over her Dad at times when she was younger, Charlotte said she loved Sting and Uncle Arn [Arn Anderson]. Charlotte also mentioned that when she was younger, she thought Arn was her Uncle. Flair said that "Macho Man" Randy Savage visited her in school once with her Dad. When asked what she still wants to accomplish in wrestling, Flair said that she's just getting into the swing of things and is not questioning every move or mistake she makes.
When asked about possibly beating her Dad's record of being a potential 17-time world champion, she said she'd like to break it and now actively thinks about it.
In addition, we're told Charlotte Flair's absence was known about in plenty of time ahead of WrestleMania.
