Update on Trish Stratus and WWE (Patreon)

Trish Stratus was set for a return on the February 20 episode of WWE Raw, but it didn't end up happening.

Fightful Select had reported that Stratus would be a guest on Bayley's "Ding Dong Hello" episode, and was even included on late rundowns for the show. However, we're told that while Stratus was at the show, she ended up leaving. When we asked why the segment didn't happen as planned, we were told "creative changes."

Now, Becky Lynch and Lita will challenge for the WWE Tag Team Titles. However, we've learned what some of the planned creative. A Twitter account (WRKDWrestling) noted that Trish Stratus is still on the way and working a storyline she's wanted to for a long time. After conferring with them directly, Fightful had it verified by several within the company that a proposed program that involved Becky Lynch and possibly other "high level stars" had been planned as of last week.

We aren't sure if that's still in the works. We haven't been told specifics of the plans, or if and when Trish Stratus will be involved.
