You are absolutely correct about the complete oversaturation of the market for a concept like this - and this track is actually a Dal Shabet B-side remake. But what also made it stick out even less is that Gfriend had a come back very soon after this was released. (Gen 3 started with the idol flood of 2012 but really kicked off when Exo dropped Growl.) Just bad timing, not a great song, nothing to make them stick out choreography wise, and oversaturation of the same concept with multiple companies throwing pasta at the wall and hoping it sticks. (like hoping for a viral moment.) I think the reason Siyeon was too far forward at the end was because a combination of still doing ad libs and that she finished directly in front of everyone. But that could also not be the case and she just didn't move back. We call her ConfuSiyeon for a reason. You also have correctly picked out the main dancer (Sua and she's also just very hyper naturally) and you noted one of the lead dancers (Dami)! They still do have official positions: Jiu (blue shorts): leader, lead dancer, lead vocal, visual Sua: main dancer, vocal, sub rapper Siyeon: main damn vocal with those whistle notes and sheer power Handong (not here): sub vocalist Yoohyeon: lead vocal (she's now moved also more into a lead dancer position. Her growth is astounding.) Dami: main rapper, lead dancer Gahyeon (not here): maknae, sub vocal, (as of Piri) lead rapper (also pls note that Gahyeon did drop weight from Piri to Scream, but she did it via exercise and some diet changes. She was not forced into it, nor was it a crash diet.) So about company - it's been Happyface up until 2019 when they changed? had a sub label? (we don't know) to Dreamcatcher Company. They get along great with the company (the CEO has shown up on lives - wearing a Motley Crue hoodie one time - and they're obviously comfortable around him. The staff gets to participate in Dreamcatcher's shenanigans of self-made MVs too. Those have no choreography but they're heavy on the laughs from the girls *literally* acting out the lyrics) and are very obviously treated well. OH before I forget - I'm not sure if we know who the choreographer was for everything pre-2020, but we do know their main creative director and choreographer is Hwang Sooyeon (I'm pretty sure she was on one of the idol survival shows but was eliminated) since 2020 (so Scream up to present). I think there have been a song here and there that she didn't choreograph, but it's mostly been her. She also performs with the backup dancers! (She usually has red hair lol) I hope this was somewhat useful and not just a sheer wall of text! I've been a fan of theirs since Jan 11, 2017 (2 days before debut - and yes that was a Friday the 13th for their debut, they take the horror seriously) and I do tend to get excited and info dump without realizing.

You gave me such great detail! I truly appreciate it so so much! I love it when companies treat their members well because it makes me want to support the group even more in this way! Never feel bad about your "walls" of texts haha! That is exactly why Patreon exists! Post away!!!!
