I was trying to figure out what was throwing you about San's kicks, especially considering he is usually regarded as being the most flexible member with the highest most stable kicks. I think it has to do with his background because he does not approach his kicks as a dancer but as a martial artist. While San did not have any dance experience at all before starting his training with KQ in 2016ish, he does have an extensive amount of martial arts training as he is a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo. He started martial arts at a very young age considering his father is a taekwondo instructor and he tends to approach certain moves with that kind of mind set. As for the different eras they are named after the album arcs, for example Answer was the last album in the Treasure era because the album it was a part of began with Treasure Ep...etc. The next dances practices coming up are the beginning of the Fever Era as the albums are now getting called Fever ep 1... etc (btw there is a song called Fever!! It even has a dance to it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_dTyYme024). Guerilla is the beginning of the World Era as the albums at that point start getting called World ep 1: ... etc.

YOU ARE A GOD SEND I SWEAR.... Thank you so so much! I can't believe I didn't make that connection myself whenever I watched it because I feel like someone has told me about his background before! You live and you learn! So I'm assuming that moving forward I will be diving into a different era then? Next on my list is "Horizon" in regards to dance practices in chronological order... Let me know if I overlooked any before making the jump!

Your welcome! Considering where San is now a lot of people forget he actually has the least amount of dance experience out of every member, but he is very in tune with his body and has great control over it, I actually think he is the member that has had the least amount of injuries out of everyone. Although he could have hidden some, i.e. when you get around to watching Kingdom, after you watch their performance to thier cover of Ikon's Rhythm Ta, check out San's fancam, he actually twists his ankle at the very beginning of the performance, you never see it on the main cam, but every time the main camera is off him you can see him limping like crazy. I forgot about Horizon... it is a b-side to Answer so it is still part of the Treasure Era. The first fever dance practices will be Inception and Thanxx. As for Fever era, while background dancers show back up in the dance practice for Fireworks, that is really the only time they utilize backup dancers in a dance practice in the Fever Era. Oh and while there are no dance practices for The Real, if you have the time you should check out a couple of different live stage full cams because they never perform it the same way twice, at the end of the song they have a section where the guys freestyle or come up with their own choreo for a mini dance break. The World Era on the other hand, back up dancers are massively incorporated.

To my knowledge, I don't think Anze worked with ATEEZ after Treasure era, which is what you're ending now (well, with Horizon if you do that) so based on that my guess is BBT get more and more involved after this point. Hongjoong, the captain, did say in a recent interview that they sometimes still work with different choreographers (again, no mention of Anze though) but then BBT takes their choreo and tailors it to ATEEZ more. So they mostly use that choreo as a guide and change stuff. And then if you see the choreos that BBT uploads to YouTube, you'll see that even after that, ATEEZ themselves change stuff to better suit their style and energy which I think shows how they've matured as dancers. They recently posted on their YouTube account a video called "Behind the Will" in which there's about 15 minutes of footage towards the end of them working on the Crazy Form choreo. The main BBT guy is with them at first but he quickly goes away and you can see the group work through issues like logistics, add little movements here and there, fix any discrepancies between members in the execution of the movements, practice without a mirror to get a feel for when they're doing it on stage where they can't see themselvee, etc. It was pretty interesting but yeah, it just goes to show how they've definitely matured enough as dancers to sometimes take on a "leader role" with the choreography and make different choices than what's proposed by the choreographer.

That is so helpful and insightful! Thank you thank you!!! That makes a lot of sense and I'm looking forward to seeing more from them in the upcoming eras!

I have to say: the more I watch your analysis videos the more I appreciate Ateez's performances and choreography execution. I saw your analysis on YouTube of Crazy Form with no context and I HAD to come look at your journey. Having watched your Ateez marathon chronologically until this point has been wonderful for me as a fairly new Atiny who grew up dancing and still loves to dance. The way you articulate your critiques has helped me better understand what specifically has caught my attention in different Ateez's dance practices/performances and why some others don't quite resonate with me. Watching your journey has also brought up some of the tingly feelings I was getting while getting more into Ateez early last year. I haven’t been in a stage in 6 years but Ateez and your dance analysis might be motivation enough to reinstall my confidence to sign up for a class again. I can’t wait to see the rest and keep enjoying with you :)

AH! Thank you so so much for the encouraging feedback! I really enjoyed this journey in particular because of the sheer amount of growth experienced while watching them! I'm so excited for you to take the journey with me and I'm so thankful that I was bale to be a positive influence within your love for the group!!! More will always be on the way!!!
