Can you react to Jimin - Set Me Free???

JessReacts764

I can try to have it on my schedule but I won’t be able to guarantee it! The only guaranteed requests are the ones on the “in the pocket” tier!

Dance wasn’t ever important to me in collaboration with music I listened to until XG. This move was impactful to me because it felt less… commercial. This felt like something they just wanted to do instead of something they needed to do as a group. The way they move together even when unscripted at the end and even the facial expressions when they dance in the second version with Aiki, they just vibe. It’s been so important for me that I feel like I’m experiencing things with this group. It’s one of the reasons I’m so in love with XG. Thank you for another amazing breakdown.

That was so fun. I like the word of the video - cohesiveness. That is a really great way to describe what seems to be so satisfying about XG's dancing. One thing I really like in Move #4 is when Hinata is the center between Jurin and Cocona and starts out in front of them, then ends up in the second row behind them, then ends up n front of them - but it's all so smooth that I had to watch it 3 or 4 times to convince myself it was happening (it's at about 1:17 into your reaction). The points about patience and the use of interruptions to reset were really interesting. I'll be curious to see how those come up again in the upcoming dance practices (or if other things will come to the fore). I'd noticed that they'd had to change up the choreo to match with 8 people when they danced with Aiki, but I hadn't noticed how much the use of levels was reduced in that version. The way they each had to adjust to not knowing as well the way the other person/team moved was interesting to watch after you pointed it out.

Agreed! I really liked watching both versions for different reasons! I'm really curious as to how we will see more of these areas of "cohesiveness" (haha) are involved in their other dance practices!

They have really grown on me! I mean they were great starting out anyway but I REALLY like catching all of these fun nuances throughout all of their other works either with just choreography or with their dance practices on their own tracks!!
