SDC6 EP 03 PART 2

The subs are sometimes good and sometimes really bad. There were a couple of episodes in S5 that were just as bad as this (I'm not sure about previous seasons since I watched those on Youtube and they were solid). They eventually fix the subs but sometimes it can take a while. Then it's really just a game of guessing what is being said from context and their facial expressions. Also, watching the previous seasons kinda helps since we would know what to expect from the format of the show. Speaking of which, they took S6 all the way back to SDC3 with this format (with twists, of course) which I am very happy with because I think that SDC3 was by far the most enjoyable season to watch as a TV show. I really liked S4 for the battles, but S3 was a peak in terms of storytelling, the bond between dancers, and just how you could see everyone putting their 200% into every performance of the way. I really hope this season will continue in a similar vein. Oh, and I am sooooo excited for next week. The battles are all gonna be so crazy. I'm most looking forward to Ibuki vs Danzel though. Danzel has said multiple times that Ibuki is his waacking idol, and AFAIK they've never battled each other before, so I know it's gonna be great!

Thank you so much for helping clear that up for me! Much appreciated! I hope we get lucky in the future so we can watch it with as much context as we can!

Just wondering, what are your thoughts about so many "legendary" dancers being on the show? For me, it's a mixed bag. It is so cool to see their absolutely insane skills on display, and it makes battles super unpredictable. But (again) in S3, where there were really only 2 legends (Bouboo and Xiao Jie), I also felt that it gave a lot more exposure to less-known and perhaps less-skilled dancers who managed to really showcase their craft. I absolutely get why they're participating - the exposure they get through SDC in China is massive, and it makes really good money for them (several of past season's foreign dancers just flat-out moved their entire families to China because of how lucrative it is) but I find it a pity that the up-and-comers will get eliminated in the first half of the show. Like I absolutely cannot imagine a scenario where they'll eliminate Salah before EP9 at least, while some of the people I was really intrigued by from EP1&2 are already gone in this episode...

You make VERY GOOD points! On one hand, I can see the large increase of caliber of competition because they are adding an additional competition element to after the show with the SDC cup.. I still don't know how this works with it being so international and they want to integrate it more in the Olympics in some way.... Anyways, I love that we get to see some OG's pop off on the show, as long as there isnt special treatment (like what we have already seen from episode 3.) I also feel that having some GOATS on the show will further promote people like Fishball who went toe to toe with KITE for 5 rounds!!! So it's a tricky double edged sword on this one.... I'm hopeful we get to see some diamond's in the rough emerge and not just be left with the legends..... Choreo is going to come more and more into play as the show goes on so we will see who lasts.

inconsistent enjoyer

fishball vs kite whoa i really loved that, i personally would have give the win to kite after the 2nd round but im so glad they didnt! i wanted fishball to continue (lockers lets gooo) damn i really wont be able to catch up for the finals :(
