hahahah gosh I don't think I've heard you laugh so hard and so loudly hahaha. If the whole of SMF was edited like this it would have been so fabulous. I would have been a happy hamster every week watching it. They edited the crews to be so aggressive and boring in the actual show but here you can see they're all quite chill and can be so funny haha. Watching Prime Kingz on Trix's channel Rihey and zSun saying they're babos can easily be understood. hahah

Oh man… that Just Jerk portion was really hard to watch in light of recent… news… But anyway, I was really rooting for Brother Bin to get in since there hadn't really been any locking representation and he would have been a great addition Imo. I was… actually quite a bit salty at Mnet after Jungwoo dropped out from SMF after the first mission since there were so many other dancers who could have been in his position. He never revealed the reason why he dropped out but people have speculated it's because minors aren't allowed to film after 10PM (unless they have a signed waiver by their parents) and Mnet didn't want to bother with that whole thing… which just begs the question of why they let him be part of Mbitious. Of course, it's just speculation and it could have been his own decision but yeah… I really wish we would have gotten to see Brother Bin in SMF :')

I personally think the only thing that has made me laugh harder was Street Gag Fighter haha.... I loved how they formatted this NGL!! I 1,000,000 % agree that if they formated the actual show like this we would ALL have freaking LOVED the show so much more haha!

I DIDN'T CONNECT THIS AT ALL.... Jungwoo left????? I don't know why that didn't enter my brain at all... Gut would also like to ply the guessing game of the pressure and that environment could totally have been too much. Because he doesn't have a lot of experience in these types of shows and competitions so he doesn't have as much "thick skin" if that makes sense to ignore peoples criticisms! I don't want him to get thick skin and enjoy dance for what it is! But knowing that, I can totally agree that Brother Bin may have been a better option because of his battle experience and Locking niche as a style... Would have made my heart happy to see more locking represented! I was going to say that being a locker amay have been a reason why he DIDN'T get picked but he scored the highest with the committee... The popularity vote percentage really played a huge role here.... I personally didn't mind how the criteria was for the selection of the group because it felt fair for the most part.. Commitee has a pull but not so much as to override the popularity vote, and vise versa. I hope Mnet does this scoring format again if they do a crew project like Be Mbitious because it's my favorite so far (JUST this last episode..... Screw the double eliminations of episode's past haha)

I actually looked into the Jungwoo situation a lot more and during SMF, he said during the interview that he wanted to leave the show because he didn't think his skills were up to par. However, he then uploaded (and deleted) a post on insta that said (and I'm translating this verbatim), "As you all know, I'm not the type of person to give up so easily. It was a forced interview." so it does give credence to people's speculations that Mnet cut him out of the show, which really sucks for both him and Brother Bin who could've taken the spot :( He is still active as a dancer though, so I'm glad this whole thing hasn't put a damper on his passion for it especially considering his potential. On the topic of locking though, it's definitely a pretty under-represented niche in the Street series. I think Locker Zee's elimination battles during SWF 2 have really been the only time they've put a spotlight on it so I would definitely love to see more of it on SMF 2. Especially since, like you noted, locking isn't very popular (in s.kor as well) and I think it would inspire people to try learning if they show it on a huge platform like the Street series.

Ooohhh the tea is PIPING HOT ON THIS ☕️🫖goodness gracious doesn’t shock me at all but this super sucks and talk about being used to the MAX….. Mnet is the legit worst I tell you…. So happy to have had locking represented and I totally wish Brother Bin was in the MBitious lineup to compete and also showcase the style! He seemed to have great choreo during the show and I wish we could have seen more of it!
