In my Opinion, I think it may allow for other people to compete as well in the ideas, as some might not have the time to be here to be the first 5. But on the other hand, it might mean that ideas become a popularity contest, and you will only see what the most amount of people want to see, not the most unique ideas that the first 5 people might come up with. It has it's pros and cons, the original plan worked for those who are hardcore enough to wait for the SECOND you make your post, as people who are dedicated enough to your content. The new plan would mean only the hearts matter, it might make those who are more hardcore feel a little bad maybe? It is a hard decision, I do not envy you.

I think first come first serve is also good as it get visual ideas out there first before everyone can vote. Otherwise we may end up with the same suggestions getting voted over and over again.

Sounds good to me, but several people had great ideas I would like to point out. One is the time zones, I think giving people 24 hours to write a comment and give hearts is fair. So others can also give their ideas, else they are essentially denied something your fanbox offers. Another one is about having the same idead again and again. Perhaps one month not doing something that has been done the month before could prevent that. For example last month an execution was drawn, so this month no ideas for executions are accepted. Perhaps you could also sort out the people who reached top 5 last month as well, so more voices can be heard.
