今回よりgifの代わりにブラウザ上で自由に操作できる形式(webGL)での提供ができないかテストをさせていただきます。

※mp4に関しては変わらず提供させていただきます。

gifでの提供をしていた理由が、「環境を問わずgifファイルの設定によってループ動画を提供できるから」というものでした。

ですがgifファイルはその性質上、画質の大幅な劣化・ファイルサイズの肥大化は避けられず、あまり好ましい手段ではありませんでした。

そこで、ネット環境があればPC（windows・OSX等）・モバイル（iOS・Android）問わず利用でき、画質も自由度も高くすることができるwebGLによる提供をしてみることにしました。

これはこれで少し心配事もあるのですが、お試しということでしばらく続けてみたいと思います。

試験運用中はどの月から支援を開始してもアクセス可能となりますが、サーバーのデータ通信量の問題から無制限というのは問題があるのと、公平性の観点からその月のwebGLコンテンツはその月支援していただいた方のみアクセスできるようにしたいと考えています。

詳しくはまた後ほどお知らせさせていただきます。

Starting from this time, we will be conducting tests to see if we can provide content in a format (webGL) that allows for interactive control directly in the browser, replacing GIFs.

The reason for providing content in GIF format was that it allowed us to offer looped videos based on the settings of the GIF file, regardless of the environment. However, due to the inherent nature of GIF files, significant degradation in image quality and bloating of file sizes were unavoidable, making it less than an ideal solution.

Therefore, we have decided to explore the possibility of providing content through webGL, which can be used on both PCs (Windows, OSX, etc.) and mobile devices (iOS, Android) with high image quality and flexibility, as long as there is an internet connection. While there are some concerns with this approach, we would like to continue it for a while as a trial.

During the trial period, access will be available to supporters starting from any month. However, due to issues related to server data traffic, we cannot offer unlimited access. To maintain fairness, webGL content for a given month will only be accessible to supporters of that month.
