The current game plan (Pixiv Fanbox)

So as I said before, things have changed a bit as a result of Patreon doing what it can to screw over other content creators in our field. As a result, this isn't really a SoS like it was supposed to be, but rather what the future is going to be like as we transition full time over to Fanbox.

So, what's the game plan moving forward? Aside from completely moving over from Patreon to Fanbox, there's quite a bit going on here that I want to do. A bit of this was written up prior to the realization that I should start packing up before something happens to my account (as it has a few others), but the gist is the same as it was intended to be, just a general idea of what I want to do in order to keep support growing and how I want to try and shape it as we move on.

New Goals?

First off, just to get this out of the way: So long as Patreon and Fanbox have an even balance in the $250 goal, we're going to keep doing the audios and keeping them publicly. Just an FYI in case you're worried about moving over right now. At the time of this writing we're already at that point, though I do recommend moving over before the next billing cycle or the September one so you aren't charged twice or something. The word count will be added no matter when the payment is made, so there's a chance you'll get double the word count as you do so.

Despite the fact Fanbox doesn't really have goals to set, I want to try and keep an incentive there to continue growth. One of the things I want to do is try and get lengthier audios, just as an example. Not just translate one scene to get through in order to get to the sex, but the rest of the build up and context that leads into the sex. For example, the House that Byleth Built audio would include the fight with the beasts, the scene where Byleth suggests she cleans Dorothea after her fight, and then the sex.

Think of it like the Doctor Who audio dramas, or any Japanese audios that you can think of. It would be similar to those.

I think someone suggested that the audios should include animation (that might have been a Pornhub comment), but as you can imagine, that takes quite a lot of money to even do. It's not a terrible idea, but safe to say the funding isn't something I could do on my own. Right now I'm thinking $700 should cover that for a goal, but I feel it's either too much, too cheap, and that I'm getting way ahead of myself at the same time.

New Tiers?

When I started to take this Patreon more seriously, I was trying to make higher tiers as well for $20 and $50 commissions monthly. Considering I was doing those side by side with regular commissions...yeah, it didn't work out too great. I was basically trying to get those out before the month ended, which also interfered in the commissions people were asking for outside of it.

I want to try with those tiers again, but I might make it audio related. Maybe you can request a VA to read your lines worth the price of the tier? I feel like in doing this it may forego the word bank, but considering what you'd get it could be worth it. Let me know what you guys think of this idea.

Sprucing up the audios

So yeah, there's some stuff I want to do to shape these up a bit. At the very least, there's something about this I want to change up. One thing I want to do in particular is have Target (Ko Clover) thank the person for listening and telling them to check out the Fanbox when these go up on Pornhub. It would be like how someone thanks you for watching a vid on Youtube, except...hopefully less intrusive. Another thing is, potentially, a soundtrack. Of course, copyrights and stuff can be an issue there, even if Pornhub isn't Youtube with how copyright hungry they get...

This is another thing I'd like to hear from you guys about. While I'm fine with what we've had so far, it definitely feels like something is missing from what we have so far. Any thoughts?

CYOA: Choose Your Own Audio

As you guys know by now, the next two audio projects have been selected: Target sucking Fizzer off, which I now have the audio for (thank you again Ko) and The House That Byleth Built. For the next audio after that, I have an idea in mind that you guys might have some interest towards.

I've had this idea since the last poll, and feel pretty excited for the idea and executing it.Compared to previous months, the choice for the October audio won't be which story to translate into a script...but you'll get a choice in the path the audio goes. You'll see in the oncoming weeks, as I'll be creating an audition announcement for this project following the end of the Byleth/Dorothea auditions, but it's an idea I want to test out, and I hope you guys all like it in the end as well.

Merchandise

So this one's on the low end of priorities, but one of my patrons pointed out to me that I could apparently sell merchandise through Fanbox. They're welcome to correct me on it, but it sounds similar to what Patreon wanted to do as soon as they started putting taxes on stuff, where they would make the merchandise for you.

I wouldn't mind doing like, stickers and pins or something like that to get started, but the bigger issue here is what of. Let's face it, I haven't exactly been putting too much effort into Fizzer and Target or my other OCs. Though I hope to change that as we move forward.

This is another one I want input on, because it would sound like a great idea, but I'm not sure if there's interest in it, or even what it would be based on. Also, because I don't know if the idea would interest enough people to make it worth it.
