今週のご報告を申し上げます。

昨日Anime Japanで発表された「アニメ化してほしいマンガランキング」で「私の推しは悪役令嬢。」は５位という成績を収めました。

これも国内外から投票して下さった読者の皆様のお陰です。

本当にありがとうございます。

花ヶ田先生、青乃下先生からも記念のイラストを頂いているのでご紹介させて頂きます。

今回の結果がそのままアニメ化に直結するというわけでは必ずしもありませんが、それでもアニメ関係者の目に留まる確率はぐんと増えたと思います。

この勢いのままどんどん突き進んでいきたいと思いますので、これからも応援よろしくお願い致します。

本日３月２８日はクレア＝フランソワの誕生日です。

誕生日を記念して、特別R18エピソード「おしおき」を公開させて頂きます。

第１回「わたおし。人気投票」の結果発表をさせて頂きます。

投票総数384票と、非常に沢山の方からご投票頂きました。

それではまずはエピソードの人気トップ５から発表していきます。

全１８章からなるわたおし。の中から第５位に選ばれたのは――。

第５位：最終章「人類の未来編」

魔王を始めとする魔族との最終決戦、さらにはクレアについての記憶を失うなど、シリアスてんこもりだった最終章が第５位にランクインしました。

最終章もご評価頂けていると分かって、私はかなり安心しました。

つづいて第４位は――。

第４位：第１７章「世界の真実編」

わたおし。世界に隠された秘密が明らかになる全ての始まりの物語が第４位にランクインしました。

第１７章は公開当時もかなりの反響を頂いていました。

私としてはとてもチャレンジングな章でしたが、こうしてご支持頂けたことに安堵しています。

つづいて第３位は――なく、第２位が同率で２つあります。

第２は――。

第２位：第１章「入学編」

第２位：第４章「恋の天秤編」

レイとクレアが初めて出会うコメディチックな「入学編」、そしてレイがクレアへの恋に覚悟を決め、クレアも大きく変わる「恋の天秤編」が同率で第２位でした。

これは私にとってかなり意外な結果です。

「恋の天秤編」の方はひょっとしたら１位かなあとも思っていたのですが、入学編がまさかの２位。

最終章あたりがシリアス過ぎたので、初期のコミカルさが恋しいという読者さんたちの気持ちが表れているのかも知れないですね。

そして、全てのエピソードで第１位に輝いたのは――。

第１位：第８章「革命編」

急速に悪化していく国情の中でクレアとともに民のために身を投じていくレイ、とうとう明かされるレイとドルの真意、それをクレアが拒絶する「王国歴二〇一五年十一月十日」など、波乱に満ちた第１部の最終章が見事第１位に輝きました。

読者の方からは綺麗に着地したので第２部が蛇足にならないか心配とまで言われた章でもありまして、２位を大きく引き離すダントツの１位でした。

個人的には第２部の最終章が負けたのが悔しいですが、それよりもここまでご支持頂けるエピソードを書けたことを誇りに思います。

今後はこれを越えるお話を書けるようにするのが目標ですね。

皆さんはどのような感想をお持ちになったでしょうか。

さて、キャラクター人気投票の結果に移る前に、作品への要望についてざっと触れさせて頂きます。

一番多かったご要望は、やはりアニメ化へのご期待でした。

すでに触れたとおり、「アニメ化してほしいマンガランキング」で５位にランクイン出来たことは、アニメ化の実現可能性を大きく上げてくれたと思います。

あとはアニメ関係者さんの目に留まるかどうかですが、これは私にはどうすることも出来ません。

ただ、読者の皆さんがこれだけ応援して下さっていますし、そのことはアニメ関係者の方も少し調べれば分かると思いますので、読者の皆さんにおかれましては、引き続き作品への応援をよろしくお願いします。

継いで多かったのは、今後の番外編やスピンオフについてのご要望でした。

後書きで触れさせて頂いたメイ＆アレアのスピンオフやクレア視点、他にもレイとクレアのイチャイチャや日常的なほのぼのとした話が読みたいというご要望も頂きました。

これらにつきましては優先順位をつけて徐々に書かせて頂ければと存じます。

あと多かったのは、スペイン語翻訳についてのご要望でした。

スペイン語版はファン翻訳も素晴らしいものがあるのですが、やはりプロの翻訳家が訳した正式版が欲しいというお声を沢山頂いています。

こちらに関してはいくつかの出版社と交渉したのですが、未だいい返事は頂けていません。

読者の皆さん、ぜひSNSなどで私の作品を推薦して頂けると嬉しいです。

さてさて、お待たせしました。

いよいよ「わたおし。キャラクター人気投票」の結果の発表です。

エピソードと同じく、ベスト５を発表させて頂きます。

第５位にランクインしたのは――。

第５位：魔王

なんと魔王が第５位にランクインです。

非常に終盤になってからようやく登場した彼女ですが、１７章で描かれた葛藤に多くの方が共感して下さったようです。

彼女の思想や価値観には必ずしも肯定的ではない方も多いと思うのですが、それでも一途にクレアを思い、その結果として悲劇的な選択をせざるを得なかった彼女を、読者の皆さんは暖かい眼差しで見て下さったようです。

最終的にはああなった魔王ですが、こんなに多くの読者さんに愛して貰えたなんて、彼女は幸せ者ですね。

というわけで、第５位は魔王でした。

つづいて第４位は――。

第４位：ミシャ＝ユール

こちらも意外な結果が出ました！

レイの元ルームメイトであるミシャが第４位です。

物語最初期から登場する彼女ですが、第３章辺りからしばらく影が薄くなってしまいまして、本格的に活躍するのは第６章「教会編」と第１１章「教皇暗殺編」です。

恐らくですが、ミシャの人気はユーとの話よりも、レイの良き理解者という側面が大きく影響しているのではないでしょうか。

また、青乃下先生がマンガで描いて下さったミシャがとても魅力的だったというのも大きいと思います。

というわけで、第４位はミシャ＝ユールでした。

つづいて第３位――。

第３位：リリィ＝リリウム

みんな大好きリリィが第３位にランクインです。

彼女も魔王同様、正式登場は第６章からとかなり後発なのですが、彼女の人気は凄まじいものがあります。

後で全体の結果を貼るのでそれをご覧頂くとお分かりになると思いますが、４位以下を大きく引き離しての第３位です。

小動物的な雰囲気や健気な言動、そして罵倒癖というアクセントも愛される理由になっているようです。

最終章でも自らの幸せを諦めてもレイの背中を押すという、大変いじらしい子です。

完結後も、リリィには幸せになって欲しいという声を多数頂きました。

いつか彼女にも幸せになって欲しいですね。

というわけで、第３位はリリィ＝リリウムでした。

いよいよ第２位です。

皆さんも大体予測が付くと思いますが、果たしてあの二人のどちらが１位なのか。

第２位は――。

第２位：レイ＝テイラー

僅差でしたが、レイは第２位でした。

それでいいのか主人公！

いやでも、第１位が強すぎたと言うことなのかもしれませんね。

クレアへの愛だけで生きていると言っても過言ではない、クレア様原理主義者であるレイ。

初期はクレアが幸せになってくれればいい、と一歩引いた態度でしたが、「恋の天秤編」でマナリアに喝を入れられ、その後は一生添い遂げる覚悟を決めたようです。

「革命編」ではいっときクレアとすれ違う場面もありましたが、最終的にはそれを乗り越え、また第二部での「自分との戦い」にも勝利し、ついにクレアと走りきることが出来ました。

彼女の魅力は何と言ってもクレアへの愛でしょう。

同性愛者であることに何の引け目も感じておらず、それがどうしたとばかりにクレアに猛アタックする様は、いっそ清々しくもあります。

一方で性的少数者であることの苦悩も抱えており、そのデリケートな部分にやられたという声も多数頂きました。

というわけで、第２位は主人公レイ＝テイラーでした。

そしてもちろん、第１位は――。

第１位：クレア＝フランソワ

読者さんみんなのお嬢様、クレアが第１位に輝きました！

気が強くて我が儘ですが、古き良き貴族の精神を引き継ぐ、心根に一本芯の入った女性です。

最初はレイのことを毛嫌いしていましたが、次第に彼女にほだされていく様は、読者さんの心を掴んだようです。

特に「恋の天秤編」の「あのセリフ」や「革命編」での「わたくしは、貴族ですもの」は印象に残っていらっしゃる方も多いのではないでしょうか。

基本ツンツンな彼女がたまに見せるデレは、レイでなくても微笑ましく思えます。

上級者ならデレだけでなく、ツンも歓迎ですよね。

せーの、「我々の業界ではご褒美です」！

メイとアレアという娘を迎えた後は、母親としての貫禄も見せる一方、育児に悩む人間らしい一面も見せてくれましたね。

レイを下して堂々の第１位はヒロイン、クレア＝フランソワでした。

In the "MANGA WE WANT TO SEE ANIMATED RANKING" announced yesterday at Anime Japan, "I'm in Love with the Villainess" took 5th place.

This is thanks to all the readers who voted for it from home and abroad.

Thank you very much.

I also received commemorative illustrations from Hanagata-sensei and Aonoshimo-sensei, which I would like to introduce to you.

Although this result does not necessarily mean that it will be directly connected to the anime adaptation, I believe that the probability of it catching the attention of those involved in the anime industry has greatly increased.

I'd like to keep this momentum going forward, so please continue to support us.

Today, March 28, is Claire-François' birthday.

To celebrate her birthday, I''ll be releasing a special R18 episode called "Crime and Punishment".

The release time is scheduled for 7pm(JST) today.

I will be taking this opportunity to announce the results of the first “IFTV Popularity Contest”.

The total number of votes was 384, this was a great turnout.

I sincerely thank you for your participation.

Then, let’s start by taking a look at the top 5 story chapters.

Of all 18 chapters that ILTV is composed of, the top 5 are―

5th: The Final Chapter, “The Future of Humanity”

In the final chapter, we saw the confrontation with the Demon Queen and her demons. Then, everyone temporarily lost their memories of Claire. This chapter, packed to the brim with serious developments, comes in at 5th.

I am quite relieved to see that the final chapter was received well.

Coming up next in 4th―

4th: Chapter 17, “The Truth of the World”

This chapter where the hidden secrets behind the ILTV world and its origin are revealed, ranked 4th.

I recall receiving quite the reaction when chapter 17 was first released as well.

This chapter ended up being personally challenging to write, so I’m reassured to see it receive so much support.

Next in 3rd― but actually not, as there was a tie...

2nd place goes to―

2nd: Chapter 1, “Enrollment”

2nd: Chapter 4, “Love Scales”

The comedic “Enrollment” in which Rei and Claire first meet. And “Love Scales”, the chapter where Rei confirms her resolve and Claire also undergoes quite the change. These two chapters tie at the same percentage for 2nd.

This result actually came as quite the surprise to me.

I had thought that “Love Scales” might actually come in first, but to think that it would tie with “Enrollment” for 2nd.

Perhaps the final chapter was too serious, causing readers to long for the comedic moments which were the hallmark of the opening chapters.

Finally, the one chapter that shone most brilliantly among the rest―

1st: Chapter 8, “Revolution”

In this chapter, both Claire and Rei devote themselves to helping the citizens of Bauer as the country plunges into chaos. Rei and Dor’s true intentions are finally revealed only to then be rejected by Claire leading to “Kingdom History, November 10th, 2015”. With its many twists and turns, this turbulent chapter, also serving as the finale to the story’s first part shines brilliantly to take 1st place.

The ending really wrapped a lot of things up very neatly, causing many readers to send me their concerns and hopes that part 2 wouldn’t just be superfluous. It holds a commanding lead over 2nd place, crowning it as the definitive winner.

Personally, I do feel frustrated that the part 2 finale lost, but I also feel proud that I was able to write a chapter that went on to be so loved and supported.

My goal moving forward is to write a story that will surpass this one.

Included below is the detailed results of the poll.

What did you all think of the results?

Moving on, before we get to the character popularity contest results, let’s briefly touch on everyone’s hopes and expectations for the series moving forward.

To be expected, the most common submission was the expectation for an anime adaptation.

As I said earlier, we secured 5th place in the “Manga We Want To See Animated Ranking”, which should mean that the chances of an anime adaptation becoming a reality have greatly increased.

We’d just need the series to leave an impression on someone who is involved in the anime industry, but that is not something that I can do directly.

However, you all have been so very supportive, and that support should also be clear to anyone in the anime industry should they just choose to look into it. So, to all my readers, I ask that you please continue to show your support for my work.

Next up we had different requests for future side stories or spinoff works.

I received many expectations regarding the Mei & Alea spinoff as well as for Claire’s retelling which I had previously mentioned in my afterword. Other than that, I also received many requests for extra stories covering heartwarming scenes from Rei and Claire’s daily lives, as well as scenes of the two just flirting with each other.

I intend to prioritize these ideas and steadily write them moving forward.

The next most common request after that was the request for a Spanish translation.

I feel the existing fan translation is marvelous in its own right, but to be expected, many voices have expressed that they want a professionally translated official release.

Though I have started negotiations with a couple of different publishers, I have yet to receive a favorable response.

To all of my readers, if you could continue to show your support for this series on various social media platforms, that would be greatly appreciated.

Well then, sorry to have kept you all waiting.

It is finally time to announce the results of the “IFTV Character Popularity Contest”.

As I did with the chapters, I’ll be announcing the top 5.

In 5th we have―

5th: Demon Queen

Believe it or not, the Demon Queen took 5th place.

She only got the chance to appear in the very final stages of the story, but it seems that many of you resonated with her conflict as portrayed in chapter 17.

While I believe there are many readers that do not directly agree with her ideology and values, many of you seemed to resonate with her wholehearted devotion to Claire. It appears that a lot of you watched over her warmly, even as she was forced to make difficult decisions ultimately leading to tragedy as a direct result of that devotion.

Though the Demon Queen met an unfortunate conclusion, to be able to receive love from so many readers, I believe that she is truly blessed.

Again, that was the Demon Queen who placed 5th.

Next up in 4th is―

4th: Misha Yule

This was yet another surprising result!

Rei’s former roommate, Misha, taking 4th.

Though she appeared rather early on, from around the chapter 3, her presence began to thin. She then came back during chapter 6, “Church” and chapter 11, “The Assassination of the Pope”.

Though I cannot say with certainty, I suspect that Misha’s popularity stems less from her story with Yuu, and more as one of the people who understands and supports Rei.

In addition, I feel that Misha’s attractiveness as portrayed in the manga by Aonoshimo-sensei may have given her a large boost.

And so, in 4th place we have Misha Yule.

Continuing on for 3rd―

3rd: Lily Lilium

Lily, beloved by many, ranks in at 3rd.

With her first official appearance being in Chapter 6, somewhat like the Demon Queen, she too got a late start. Regardless, her popularity is quite fierce.

The detailed results will be posted below, so if you look you’ll understand, but there’s quite the gap separating her 3rd place finish from those who ranked below.

I believe the small animal vibe she gives off, her admirable words and actions, and her spontaneous verbal abuse, which serves as an accent, are all reasons that she’s so loved.

Even in the final chapter, she gave up on her own happiness to give Rei a push on the back. She’s a very sweet and lovable girl.

Even after completion, I have heard a large number of voices wishing for Lily to find happiness..

I too wish that she will one day find happiness.

With that, I present to you Lily Lilium in 3rd place.

We’ve finally reached 2nd.

At this point I’m sure many of you can guess the pair who make up the top two, but which one of them was able to secure 1st?

In 2nd we have―

2nd: Rei Taylor

Losing by very slim margins, we have Rei in 2nd.

Is the protagonist really okay with that result!

But perhaps that only serves to emphasize how popular 1st place really is.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that she lives solely off of her love for Claire, Rei is a Claire-sama fundamentalist through and through.

Though initially she drew a line saying that she’d be content so long as Claire found happiness, during “Love Scales”, thanks to Manaria’s harsh words and actions, she formed the resolve to remain by Claire’s side for life.

During “Revolution” there were some scenes where it seemed the two may slip apart, but in the end they managed to overcome that trial. Then once again in part 2, Rei manages to triumph in the “fight against herself”, to finally go the distance.

I truly believe that her most appealing quality is her love for Claire.

I found the way she relentlessly approached Claire without shying away due to her homosexuality to be quite refreshing.

On the other hand, her aggressive advances also served as a front for her more delicate side, one that understands the anguish that many people within the sexual minority bear. I have heard many voices express that they were done in by Rei’s vulnerable side as well.

And so, that was our very own protagonist, Rei Taylor, placing 2nd.

So of course, in 1st place is―

1st: Claire François

Everyone’s favorite pampered lady, Claire shines brilliantly in 1st place!

She’s strong willed and quite selfish, but inherits the true old-fashioned meaning of nobility at the core of her one-track-mind.

While she absolutely despised Rei at first, it seems the way she was gradually moved by Rei’s advances was what captured the hearts of many readers.

I’m sure, “that line” during “Love Scales”, or “I am, after all, a noble.” during the “Revolution”, especially left an impression on many.

Though she often shows quite a prickly exterior, I believe that the rare moments that she shows her soft side would bring a smile to anyone, not just Rei.

And of course, the adept in our industry welcome not just her soft side, but embrace her thorns as well.

Come on say it with me, two, one... “In our industry, that’s considered a reward!”

After welcoming Mei and Alea home as her daughters, even while displaying her dignity as a mother, she also showed us a very human side of herself, worrying about how to raise the twins properly as well as for their future.

So there we have it, defeating Rei to place 1st is our confident heroine, Claire François.

저로서는 꽤나 도전이나 마찬가지인 장이었지만 이렇게 많은 지지를 받을 수 있어서 안도하고 있습니다.

제 2위 : 제 1장 『입학편』

제 2위 : 제 4장 『사랑의 천칭편』

레이와 클레어가 처음으로 만난, 코미디스러운 분위기의 『입학편』, 그리고 레이가 클레어를 향한 사랑에 각오를 다지고, 클레어도 크게 변화를 맞이하는 『사랑의 천칭편』이 동률로서 제 2위입니다.

이건 저에겐 상당히 의외의 결과입니다.

『사랑의 천칭편』 쪽은 어쩌면 1위를 하지 않으려나 싶기도 했지만 입학편이 설마하니 2위.

최종장에 가까워질수록 너무 시리어스해서 초기의 개그스러운 분위기를 그리워하셨던 독자분들의 마음이 표출된 결과일지도 모르겠네요.

그리고 모든 에피소드 중에서 1위에 빛나는 건 바로——.

제 1위 : 제 8장 『혁명편』

급속도로 악화되어가는 왕국의 정세 속에서 클레어와 함께 민중들을 위해 몸을 던지는 레이, 점차 명확히 드러나는 레이와 도르의 진짜 의지, 클레어가 두 사람의 뜻을 거부하는 『왕국력 2015년 11월 10일』 등, 파란이 몰아치는 제 1부 최종장이 훌륭하게 1위를 차지했습니다.

독자 분들이 1부가 깔끔하게 마무리되었기 때문에 2부가 사족처럼 되진 않을까 걱정이라는 말까지 해주셨던 1부의 최종장이기도 해서, 2위를 큰 격차로 따돌리고 단독 1위입니다.

개인적으로는 2부의 최종장이 패배했다는 사실이 좀 분합니다만, 그 이상으로 이렇게나 많은 지지를 보내주신 에피소드를 써냈다는 점을 자랑스럽게 생각합니다.

앞으로는 이걸 넘어서는 이야기를 써낼 수 있게 되는 게 목표겠네요.

마지막으로 모든 결과의 그림을 첨부해두겠습니다.

여러분은 어떤 느낌을 받으셨나요.

자, 그러면 캐릭터 인기투표 결과로 넘어가기 전에 작품에 원하는 점에 대해서 적어주신 것도 짚고 넘어가보겠습니다.

제일 많았던 요청은 역시 애니메이션 화에 대한 기대입니다.

이미 앞서 말씀드렸다시피 『애니화 해줬으면 하는 만화 랭킹』에서 5위에 오를 수 있었던 덕분에 애니화의 실현 가능성도 크게 올라갔다고 생각합니다.

이제 다음은 애니메이션 관계자 분들의 눈길이 향할지 어떨지의 문제지만 이건 저로선 어쩔 도리가 없습니다.

그저 독자 분들이 이렇게나 많은 응원을 해주고 계시고, 그 점은 애니메 관계자 분들도 조금만 조사해보면 충분히 알아주실 거라 생각하기 때문에, 독자 여러분들께는 앞으로도 계속 작품에 대한 응원을 해주시길 부탁드리겠습니다.

그 다음으로 많았던 건 앞으로 있을 번외편과 스핀오프에 대한 요청입니다.

후기에서 조금 언급했었던 메이&알레어의 스핀오프나 클레어 시점 외에도, 레이와 클레어의 알콩달콩한 일상적이고 따뜻한 이야기가 읽고 싶다는 요청도 받았습니다.

이 부분에 대해서는 우선순위를 매겨 천천히 써보도록 하려합니다.

또 많았던 건 스페인어 번역에 대한 요청입니다.

스페인어판은 훌륭한 팬 번역도 존재하긴 하지만 역시 프로 번역가가 번역한 정식판을 원한다는 많은 분들의 요청을 받았습니다.

그 점에 관해선 여러 출판사와도 교섭해봤지만 아직 좋은 대답은 얻지 못했습니다.

아주 최후반부에 가서야 겨우 등장한 마왕입니다만, 17장에서 그려진 갈등에 많은 분들이 공감해주신 모양입니다.

그녀의 이상과 가치관을 그다지 긍정적으로 보지 않는 분들도 분명 많을 거라 생각합니다만 그럼에도 한결같이 클레어를 사랑했고, 그 결과 비극적인 선택을 해야만 했던 그녀를 독자 여러분들은 따뜻한 시선으로 바라봐주셨던 것 같습니다.

최종적으로는 결국 그런 결말을 맞이한 마왕이지만, 이렇게나 많은 분들의 사랑을 받을 수 있다니 그녀는 행복한 사람이네요.

이야기 시작부터 등장한 미샤지만 제 3장 정도부터 좀 존재감이 옅어지고 말았기 때문에 본격적으로 활약하는 건 제 6장 『교회편』과 제 11장 『교황 암살편』입니다.

아마 짐작이지만 미샤의 인기는 유와 얽힌 이야기보다도, 레이를 이해해주는 좋은 이해자라는 측면이 더 크게 영향을 준 거 아닐까요.

또한, 아오노시모 선생님이 만화로 그려주신 미샤가 너무나도 매력적이었다는 점도 크게 작용했다고 생각합니다.

제 3위 : 릴리 릴리움

모두가 사랑하는 릴리가 제 3위에 랭크인입니다.

릴리도 마왕처럼 정식 등장은 제 6장부터니까 꽤나 후발주자입니다만 릴리의 인기는 어머어마할 정도입니다.

아래에 전체 결과를 게재할 거라서 그걸 보시면 알게 되실 거라 생각합니다만 4위 이하와 큰 격차를 벌리고 있는 제 3위입니다.

소동물 같은 분위기와 갸륵한 언동, 그리고 매도하는 버릇이 있다는 악센트도 릴리가 사랑받는 이유인 것 같습니다.

최종장에서도 자신의 행복을 포기하더라도 레이의 등을 밀어주는 너무나 기특한 아이입니다.

완결 이후로도 릴리가 꼭 행복해지길 바란다는 목소리가 많았습니다.

초기에는 클레어만 행복하면 그걸로 족하다면서 한발 뒤로 물러난 태도였지만, 『사랑의 천칭편』에서 마나리아에게 호되게 질책을 당하고, 그 뒤로는 평생 클레어와 부부로서 함께할 각오를 다진 모양입니다.

『혁명편』에서는 잠깐 클레어와 엇갈리는 장면도 있었지만 최종적으론 그걸 극복해냈고, 또한 2부에서 『자기 자신과의 싸움』에서도 승리를 거둬 드디어 클레어와 끝까지 완주할 수 있었습니다.

그녀의 매력은 뭐니뭐니 해도 클레어를 향한 사랑이겠죠.

자신이 동성애자라는 점에 조금도 꿀리지 않고서 그게 어쨌다는 거냐고 말하는 것처럼 클레어를 향해 맹렬히 어택 하는 모습은 시원스럽기까지 합니다.

그러는 한편 속으로는 성적 소수자라는 점에 대한 고뇌도 품고 있으니, 그런 입체적이고 섬세한 면에 치였다는 목소리도 많았습니다.
