An "Update" (Pixiv Fanbox)

This is going to be a public post, only because it'll go over the general idea of what I'll be doing here on Fanbox/SubscribeStar going forward. Future preview sorts of things may or may not be public. Largely depends, but I'll post infrequent updates on what I'm doing here or there. Might even throw in a guessing game where I post a pure silhouette of an animation I'm working on and have people guess who it is for laughs. Either way, I sometimes get stuck when I'm making stuff and back in the Tumblr days I'd sometimes not post outright previews, but I'd kind of gauge interest in my own way. I'll probably do something similar here. For example - there's a picture of Sice here. I have a fully rigged model of her ready to go, but... I'm kind of stuck there. Not sure what I want to do, really, so if there's something you'd like to see with her, let me know. Sometimes a little direction can go a long way. I won't be able to guarantee that I'll get to your idea, but I'll keep things in consideration. The same sort of goes for Daemon Girl - I already have what I want to do in mind, but my main question is - forked tongue, yay or nay? I've wanted to give her one since I first saw her, but I'm also fully aware not everyone is into the idea. Anyway, onto more important things: The goal is, probably starting sometime next month(need some time to get acclimated to having this sort of thing), I will be having a poll of sorts for "additional" animations. I will be continuing my regular schedule of bi-weekly releases of stuff I make for myself or what not, but on certain off-weeks, I'll hold a poll where supporters can vote on one of five randomly selected characters. Why randomly selected? If I made a poll to select five characters to get a final vote, I can basically already predict what the outcome will be: Tifa, Nyotengu, Marie Rose, and - considering my audience - probably Aerith and maybe Lunafreya. Or Honoka, or 2B, I don't really know for certain, but the list would be fairly narrow. I basically started animating because the variety of characters is honestly rather limited. At the time, it was oversaturated with Overwatch, and so I started to get stuff that wasn't Overwatch. That remains true - and while I do have some particular affinities(I can't deny I love Nyotengu, Aerith, Lunafreya, and the like), I do enjoy giving love to less popular characters. Hence why things will be randomly selected. Through pure chance, there might be some very under represented characters getting a chance at a spotlight, which will make things a little more fun(for me, at least). That said, I will do it in a particular way. It will be five randomly selected, but the pool for each option will be a bit different. 1.) Dead or Alive Characters 2.) Final Fantasy Characters 3.) Misc Characters(ie, things like Nier, Nioh, etc.) 4.) Misc Characters 5.) Full Random This is, of course, somewhat tentative and there will definitely be choices that will make the poll outcome obvious, but it's worth a shot to give the chance of a less used character get the chance at a spotlight. Obviously if someone like Tifa is on the list, the votes will be obvious but if things end up going one way too often there might be refinements at some point. It'll also mostly be limited to characters I have models/rigs for, and/or want to work with, but the lists might get revisions as well. Regardless, I'll talk a bit about the schedule for a bit. Basically, it'll go like this on a weekly basis: Regular Release > Poll > Regular Release > Poll Animation Release > repeat. That'll give people time to vote, give me time to see the results, and still have about 2 weeks to work on something while still being able to do my normal stuff. Number of animations will probably only be one or two, unless I get really into it. I might also include something regarding what sort of poses people want to see, but I don't have a super clean solution for that at this point. Lastly, Fanbox doesn't seem to have a poll option unfortunately, so I'll probably just have to take a "poll" through comments. Not the ideal method, but I'm not sure what the best alternative would be. Things will also be weighted based on the "tier", since that seems to be a common thing to do. Still, that's about all I have to say regarding this. I might have more to say in the future, but for now that should be it. Still just getting somewhat... "used to" this whole thing.
