I have implemented a trial run for a new password system utilizing Atomic Loli's folder password protection. These will only affect the Image and Video collections for now to make sure this is viable.

Inside the Image and Video collection posts, you will find instructions on where you can find the password. Upon clicking the link to the Image and Video folders you will be prompted for this password. These passwords will change on a monthly basis, but will remain the same during the month. Please note that the actual files are not password protected, only access to the site is password protected.

If nothing changes with the new Pixiv ToS being implemented, I will revert this change, but for now I will be doing this test to see if any issues arise or if I need to make any adjustments. If you have any questions let me know.

Hi, I am pretty new to creative work. Can I ask what this password system is and how/where can I read about it?

skaredsic

The password system is just me password protecting the folders on my file hosting server so that the password must be entered before the files can be seen and downloaded.

btw I haven't seen your stuff before. I just checked it out and its really good work.

Noted on the password system, maybe I should look into that, thank you!

Hey sir Skared. What do you know about Pixiv's new policy ban? I understand that it's banning loli art work

Good to take a step ahead man, one problem though, before I was able to use jdownloader to download the links, but now when a folder was unlocked with a password, even if I get the link like I do for the others not protected folders, jdownloader is sadly unable to get it :( and when downloading with browsers it is randomly failing so I have to limit the number of files at a time. One other thing, your server does not send the total size, it would be nice to add it if you can.

ねこさん

The browser or the download manager cannot determine the size, it is probably missing in the header of the request.

So when I download it says unknown size and continue downloading till the server stop sending any data.

skaredsic

That must be something on your end. My Chrome, Firefox, Brave, and Edge browser all recognize file sizes during download.

Maybe it can be predict on your end I don't know, but I checked and you are missing the Content-Length header (this is the one indicating how much data the server is sending). Not a big deal anyway, it was just for you to know, don't spend time on this.
