Hello everyone,

As I mentioned last time, I'm making a small point on funding, like I do every 6 months or so.

As always I'll start with SubscribeStar first since it's much more straightforward:

36 new patrons since the release of the first version of Slice of Venture Remake for what is now a projected amount of almost $1,600 per month (minus the fees and currency change but I'll leave them on the side.)

That's pretty awesome to be honest. For a very long time now, the numbers of subscribers increased parallely to the numbers of comments, being always more or less the same (so it was something like one/two more patrons every 3-4 weeks). Now I have 30 more patrons than comments 8D

Seriously, though, it's cool. Even if the base amounts aren't the same, it's more or less similar to the kind of boost I was hoping from SoV3 release in 2021 (something around +15%). Of course, that kind of stuff is always tied with much less awesome information like the fact that in addition to the current amount I already lose with taxes (25%) and fees (1-2%), Skrill will start taking an extra 1,75% on any amount for bank account transfers (up to $130 OR with a minimum of $3,5). It's not THAT terrible, but we're slowly reaching the 30% money loss.

All in all, it's still a great progression and I thank all those who are trusting us, especially considering the fact that, if I want to be totally transparent, SubscribeStar patrons are much more constant than Fanbox's ^^'

Talking about Fanbox, here are the numbers. As you know, they have graphs, so might as well use them.

This the amount of patrons I've had on the past 90 days. The huge downfall is the release day of the game: I had to delete all tiers so it corresponds to patrons who were still on those tiers (roughly 30 patrons.)

Right now, the graph says I'm at 119. It's interesting to note that on the May 28th (so 6 days after the game's release) I was at 108 patrons. Thing is, I got something like 40 new patrons during those 6 days (I receive a mail for each pledge). Since I was at 128 patrons at the release of the game (minus the 30 that were forced out) we can make a quick calculation: 98 patrons + 40 = 138 patrons - 108 patrons = 30 patrons that pledged to get the game and unpledged right away. Those numbers are slightly rounded up/down. It's maybe one or two patrons more/less but the whole idea is here.

There's probably only one or two patrons who pledged to get the game then lowered to 100 yens after. I know I'm a broken record but I've always recommanded to stay at the 100 yens level rather than leaving to at least keep in touch with the news (especially considering 100 yens is the only untouched tier so it's $0,64. You only pay 64% of what SubscribStar pledgers pay :p (you'll forgive me that unfairness considering the amounts implied, guys ^^')

Thankfully, things are slowly progressing back and as I said, I'm at 119 patrons now. Now how does it translate into money?

I always like pulling out the global graph so people can have a clearer idea of the whole picture. So I'm very close to 150 000 Yens per month (I'm at 149 500). If you remove the 10% of fees, that's 135 000 Yens ($860). It's the first real progression since the constant downfall that has been occuring since the last SoS update (Unlike SS patrons who seem to enjoy 2D and 3D alike, there's a STRONG 2D afinity for Fanbox patrons. Which is logical since many are Pixiv users.)

So what does it means? Even if this total is not totally right because I'm not taking into account a part of SS fees, the currency change money loss (which is where Paypal feeds themselves), we're reaching a total of $2,460 per month.

That is a HUGE increase compared to the last months. I can be at ease with paying everyone in the team (Peak, Nito, Aimless and Ktw (our new colorist)) without having to refrain from paying myself (which I had to do twice in February and March ^^')

So thank you very much for your support. We'll all give our best to make sure SoVR is an awesome game (I have a strong feeling people are going to love what we'll propose for the post-game content.) After all, more than words, delivering the best possible game is the best way to thank you, right? :p

I'll see you next week for a recap post about the next update and depending on what I'll be able to show, I might also start to talk about post-game content as well.

See ya o/

Oh that's a good idea. I didn't think about it. I'll give the status and long-term views I have for each project so people know what to expect.
